Vocational Training. Day Training Services provided to an individual in an industrial enclave, a work crew, a sheltered workshop, or an affirmative industry, to enable the individual to obtain employment. Contract funds are not used for the cost of production. Optional I. Day Habilitation: Assistance with acquiring, retaining, or improving self-help, socialization, and adaptive skills necessary to live successfully in the community and to participate in home and community life. Individualized activities are consistent with achieving the outcomes identified in the individual’s plan of services and supports and activities are designed to reinforce therapeutic outcomes targeted by other service components, school or other support providers. Day habilitation is normally furnished in a group setting other than the individual’s residence for up to six hours a day, five days per week on a regularly scheduled basis. The service includes personal assistance for individuals who cannot manage their personal care needs during the day habilitation activity as well as assistance with medications and the performance of tasks delegated by a RN in accordance with state law. Vocational Training. 17.1 The District shall budget $4,000 annually which may be used by employees for vocational improvement. Requests for these funds must be submitted by June 30 each year and funds must be expended by September 30 each year. Appropriate District procedures for pre-approval and reimbursement must be followed.
17.2 Such funds may be utilized for the following purposes as authorized by the Superintendent.
17.2.1 Salary and reimbursement for employees subject to this Agreement to attend recognized vocational courses.
17.2.2 Expenses and materials to establish courses of study within the confines of the District which would be of mutual benefit to the employee and the District.
17.2.3 Purchase of recognized vocational courses from Chapter, state, or national educational institutes which would improve the potential of employees subject to this Agreement.
Vocational Training. Unless otherwise agreed, the following provisions shall apply: When the employer provides professional training to employees or sends employees on training related to their professions, the employer shall cover the direct costs of the training without reducing the employees’ pay. If the training takes place outside of regular working hours, the employer shall cover the direct costs. No compensation shall be provided for time spent in training or related travel outside of regular working hours. Travel expenses are compensated according to the collective agreement.
Vocational Training. 1. Aimed at favouring the increase in the quality of work offered and to improve the possibili- ties of a stable insertion into the labour market of subjects as in article 2 of the present agreement, also in the event of recourse to the contractual arrangements as in Title IV, a service is to be established for the training, guidance and integration in the context of the One-stop shop Milano lavoro.
2. The service for the training and integration which is stated in the preceding paragraph shall have place at the One-stop shop Milano lavoro and will operate in collaboration with the public and private institutional subjects, training suppliers, signalling, in relation to the sin- gle projects, the suitable training offer. The activity of the aforesaid service shall occur on the basis of guidance defined by the Concertation Commission as in article 3.
3. The model of functioning and the task of the service for the training and integration men- tioned in the first paragraph shall be identified in the context of the convention between the Municipality and the Province of Milan referred to in the article that precedes regarding the following guidelines:
a. the service for the training and integration of Milano lavoro shall be constituted by staff capable of carrying out the following activities with special reference to the projects mentioned in article 4: – to accomplish the functional and operative insertion in the context of the Milano lavoro desk; – to collaborate to single out and channel the possible subjects to be inserted in the training courses, identifying and carrying out diversified courses of access in func- tion of the types of use (reception, guidance); – to contribute to identifying and decoding the training needs expressed by the xx- xxxx in relation to the projects presented; – to cooperate with the network of training, projectual resources existing for the or- ganisation of training courses responding to the needs of those above; – to contribute to identifying the most suitable subjects to be inserted into training and work courses (pre-selection); – to cooperate in the promotion of employment insertion methods of subjects men- tioned in article 2 of the present agreement also through the use of training and guidance courses, work programmes and other training measures; – to favour the correct use of different sources of financing; – to monitor the impact of training courses implemented in terms of insertion into the labour market and stabili...
Vocational Training. The federations stress the importance of systematic development of human resources. The employer shall, as necessary, provide senior salaried employees with an annual opportunity to take part in vocational training enabling the maintenance and development of the employee’s vocational skills. The need for training may be established, for example, at performance appraisals conducted be- tween the employer and the senior salaried employee. In addition to regular annual working hours, the employer may as- sign senior salaried employees a maximum of 8 hours of training per calendar year at the workplace or in another location of the employer’s choosing if such training is necessary for the perfor- xxxxx of the work and it is of additional or complementary nature or related to the use of devices, well-being at work or safety or if it is a development event for boosting productivity, efficiency or quality. When assigning such training or development events, the senior salaried employees’ personal needs regarding working time shall be taken into account, where possible. Time spent in such training or events shall be counted as regular working hours on top of the regular annual working hours provid- ed for in the collective agreement. Remuneration corresponding to the basic rate of pay shall be paid for time spent in such training or development events. Training or development events may also be organised as an all-day event. Training or development events shall not be scheduled for mid-week public holidays.

Vocational Training. 1. Each apprentice shall participate in related and supplemental instruction normally scheduled outside of work hours.
2. The related and supplemental instruction shall include appropriate safety recommendations of the Environment, Health and Safety Department and other recognized trade safety practices and accident prevention, including first aid and CPR.
3. Related and supplemental instruction will not be less than one hundred forty four (144) hours per year.
4. Time spent in classroom instruction outside normal working hours will not be considered time worked and will not be compensated.
5. Two (2) unexpected absences in any given course is cause for immediate termination of the apprenticeship agreement and dismissal from employment.
6. Courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better in order to be credited toward the program. Apprentices will be required to submit a copy of the course transcript to the JATC at the end of each semester.
7. If an apprentice fails to receive a grade “C” or better in a course, he/she shall at the discretion of the JATC, be given the opportunity to repeat the course one time. Failure to demonstrate adequate academic progress will result in termination of the apprenticeship agreement and dismissal from employment. Under unusual circumstances, the University may, at its sole discretion, consider other options for employment.
8. The cost of tuition, fees, books and related industrial expenses are the responsibility of the apprentice. The apprentice may submit a request to the University to cover the cost of the aforementioned costs pursuant to the terms of Article 37, Training and Development.
9. A schedule of required classroom training for each craft will be attached hereto and made a part of this Agreement.
10. Courses are available through the San Diego Unified School District, local community colleges, and programs sponsored by Teamsters Local 2010.
Vocational Training. 1. If a clerical employee has completed a tourism programme of not less than 2 years approved by the National Board of Education, then this programme together with the traineeship period included in the associated syllabus shall be deemed equiva- lent to a trainee period in the sector. The value of other trainee periods at tourism industry educational institutions for re- ducing the trainee period shall be agreed separately in each case between the em- ployer and the clerical employee. The federations have agreed that the foregoing practice in relation to the trainee period shall also apply to clerical employees who are in the sector at the time of signing the agreement unless other arrangements concerning the trainee period have been agreed be-tween the employer and the cleri- cal employee.
2. A clerical employee who has completed a 3.5-year specialised travel agency pro- gramme approved by the National Board of Education at a university of applied sci- ences, including a trainee period of not less than 3 months in actual travel agency duties, shall be assigned directly to the second year of service in pay scales.
3. If a clerical employee has completed and passed a programme at a commercial school or college, then this shall be deemed equivalent to the trainee period for of- fice duties in the sector.
4. One year shall be added to the sector seniority of a clerical employee who has completed a further qualification in travel services, provided that the said employee has not previously been credited with seniority on education-al grounds.
Vocational Training. For the term of this Agreement, Siskiyou County agrees to disburse the not to exceed amount of $100,000 from their JJRBG for participation in the Secured Track Youth program at Tehama County Detention Facility. Any Secured Track Youth placed in the detention facility shall be paid out of the JJRBG and charged pursuant to Section 3 of this Agreement.
