The stamp reads “Filed NY County Clerk [date of entry].” In contrast with most orders, most judgments are not automatically “entered.” The prevailing party must appear before the Judgment Clerk of the County Clerk (Room 141B, in the basement) and request entry of the judgment.
This will happen when counsel submits to the Judgment Clerk, in hard copy form or, in an e-filed case, via NYSCEF, a judgment in proper form that substantively complies with the order of the court.
