Labour and Social Security Laws definition

Labour and Social Security Laws means any regulation governing labour-related matters and relating to employer’s obligations, also including, for the avoidance of doubt, (i) paying contributions for social security and mandatory insurance for industrial accidents and occupational diseases and fulfilling health and safety obligations and (ii) paying salary allowances and all other amounts due to the employees, including that portion of TFR (trattamento di fine rapporto) that accrues while performing the Services.

  • UK Data Protection Legislation means all applicable data protection and privacy legislation in force from time to time in the UK including the UK GDPR; the Data Protection Act 2018; the Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002/58/EC (as updated by Directive 2009/136/EC) and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (SI 2003/2426) as amended.

  • Occupational Safety and Health Law means any Legal Requirement designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions and to reduce occupational safety and health hazards, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and any program, whether governmental or private (such as those promulgated or sponsored by industry associations and insurance companies), designed to provide safe and healthful working conditions.

  • Union harmonisation legislation means any Union legislation harmonising the conditions for the marketing of products;

  • Estimated Social Security means, for an employee covered by Social Security, an employee's estimated OASDI retirement benefit. The benefit is based upon an estimated "average indexed monthly earnings" for an employee retiring at age 65 in 2021 - it does not include any amounts which might be payable to an eligible spouse or children.

  • European Data Protection Laws means data protection laws applicable in Europe, including: (i) Regulation 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (General Data Protection Regulation) ("GDPR"); (ii) Directive 2002/58/EC concerning the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in the electronic communications sector; and (iii) applicable national implementations of (i) and (ii); or (iii) GDPR as it forms parts of the United Kingdom domestic law by virtue of Section 3 of the European Union (Withdrawal) Act 2018 ("UK GDPR"); and (iv) Swiss Federal Data Protection Act on 19 June 1992 and its Ordinance ("Swiss DPA"); in each case, as may be amended, superseded or replaced.

  • Environmental and Social Management Plan or “ESMP” means a site-specific environmental and social management plan to be prepared in accordance with the parameters laid down in the ESMF and acceptable to the Association, setting forth a set of mitigation, monitoring, and institutional measures to be taken during the implementation and operation of the Project activities to eliminate adverse environmental and social impacts, offset them, or reduce them to acceptable levels, and including the actions needed to implement these measures.

  • Equality Legislation means any and all legislation, applicable guidance and statutory codes of practice relating to diversity, equality, non discrimination and human rights as may be in force from time to time in England and Wales or in any other territory in which, or in respect of which, the Supplier provides the Services;

  • Health and Safety means, in relation to a recipient or a third person, the prevention of death or serious personal injury;

  • Environmental and Social Standards or “ESSs” means, collectively: (i) “Environmental and Social Standard 1: Assessment and Management of Environmental and Social Risks and Impacts”; (ii) “Environmental and Social Standard 2: Labor and Working Conditions”; (iii) “Environmental and Social Standard 3: Resource Efficiency and Pollution Prevention and Management”;

  • Community health worker means an individual who:

  • Social Security means the old-age survivors and disability section of the Federal Social Security Act;
