Legal Assistance Fund definition

Legal Assistance Fund means the Legal Assistance Fund established pursuant to Part V of the Legal Contribution Trust Act 1967 8. (2) On the appointed day 2, or as soon as practicable thereafter, the Law Society shall pay to the Commission any moneys that, immediately before the appointed day 2, stood to the credit of the Legal Assistance Fund. (3) Where under the provisions of any Act any moneys are required to be paid or applied to the Legal Assistance Fund for the purposes of Part V of the Legal Contribution Trust Act 1967 8 those moneys shall, on and after the appointed day 2, be payable to the Commission. (4) Where the application of any moneys referred to in subsection (2) or (3) through the Legal Assistance Fund would have been subject to any condition or restriction imposed by an Act, the application of those moneys by the Commission shall be subject to the same condition or restriction. (5) Where, immediately before the appointed day 2, any moneys were for the time being invested pursuant to section 34 of the Legal Contribution Trust Act 1967 8 that money shall, on and after the appointed day 2 —
