Life sciences means science for the examination or understanding of life or life processes, including, but not limited to, all of the following:
Superannuation Scheme in this subclause, shall mean a scheme other than one implemented solely for purposes of compliance with Clause 49. - Superannuation of this award, or an Order of the Western Australian Industrial Relations Commission.
Pension Scheme means a contract, an agreement, a trust deed or rules stipulating which retirement benefits are granted and under which conditions;
Planning Scheme means a scheme developed in accordance with section 6 of the Planning and Environment Act 1987.
Child/Children means persons who are of an age of two years and above but who are less than 12 years of age;
Traineeship Scheme means an approved traineeship applicable to a group or class of employees or to an industry or sector of an industry or an enterprise. A traineeship scheme shall not be given approval unless consultation and negotiation with the union upon the terms of the proposed traineeship scheme and the traineeship have occurred. An application for approval of a traineeship scheme shall identify the union and demonstrate to the satisfaction of the approving authority that the abovementioned consultation and negotiation have occurred.
Original Public Sector Employee means a former employee of the Crown or other public sector body who as a result of the application of the TUPE Regulations, in relation to what was done for the purposes of carrying out a contract for the provision of services which were equivalent of or similar to the Services, becomes or became an employee of someone other than the Crown or other public sector body.
Medical flexible spending arrangement or "medical FSA" means a benefit plan whereby eligible state employees may reduce their salary before taxes to pay for medical expenses not reimbursed by insurance as provided in the salary reduction plan established under chapter
Schemes the Principal Civil Service Pension Scheme available to Civil Servants and employees of bodies under Schedule 1 of the Superannuation Act 1972 (and eligible employees of other bodies admitted to participate under a determination under section 25 of the Public Service Pensions Act 2013), as governed by rules adopted by Parliament; the Partnership Pension Account and its (i) Ill health Benefits Scheme and (ii) Death Benefits Scheme; the Civil Service Additional Voluntary Contribution Scheme; and the Designated Stakeholder Pension Scheme and “alpha” introduced under The Public Service (Civil Servants and Others) Pensions Regulations 2014;
life cycle means all consecutive and/or interlinked stages, including research and development to be carried out, production, trading and its conditions, transport, use and maintenance, throughout the existence of the product or the works or the provision of the service, from raw material acquisition or generation of resources to disposal, clearance and end of service or utilisation;
Health insurance plan means any health insurance policy or health benefit plan offered by a health insurer or a subcontractor of a health insurer, as well as Medicaid and any other public health care assistance program offered or administered by the State or by any subdivision or instrumentality of the State. The term includes vision care plans but does not include policies or plans providing coverage for a specified disease or other limited benefit coverage.

Pension Schemes means the Nord Anglia Joint Pension Scheme, the Wyburn School Limited Pension Life Assurance Scheme (1985) and the Lifetime Pension Scheme, and “Pension Scheme” means any one of them.

Public safety employee means a public employee who is employed as one of the following:
Relevant Employees means the employees who may be affected by a change referred to in subclause (1).

town planning scheme means the City of Rockingham Town Planning Scheme made under the Town Planning and Development Act 1928.
Dependant child means a dependant person who is aged 0–17 years of age.
CBA means any collective bargaining agreement or other Contract with any labor union, labor organization, or works council.
Parent Plan means an Employee Benefit Plan sponsored, maintained, or contributed to by Parent or its Affiliates or with respect to which Parent or its Affiliates have any liability.
Care Plan means a licensee's written description of a resident's needs, preferences, and capabilities, including by whom, when, and how often care and services are to be provided.
Dependent care assistance program or "DCAP" means a benefit plan whereby school employees may pay for certain employment related dependent care with pretax dollars as provided in the salary reduction plan under chapter 41.05 RCW pursuant to 26 U.S.C. Sec. 129 or other sections of the Internal Revenue Code.

Cable television service means the one-way transmission to subscribers of video programming and other programming service and subscriber interaction, if any, that is required for the selection or use of the video programming or other programming service.
Employee Assistance Program means an established program capable of providing expert assessment of employee personal concerns; confidential and timely identification services with regard to employee drug or alcohol abuse; referrals of employees for appropriate diagnosis, treatment and assistance; and follow-up services for employees who participate in the program or require monitoring after returning to work. If, in addition to the above activities, an employee assistance program provides diagnostic and treatment services, these services shall in all cases be provided by the program.
