Lobbying activity definition
Lobbying activity means influencing or attempting to influence a city official or city official-elect with regard to a legislative or administrative action of the city or redevelopment agency.
Lobbying activity means an effort or attempt to influence (i) legislative activity by any legislature or (ii) rulemaking or other decision-making by the executive branch of government. Engagement in lobbying activity may trigger registration and reporting requirements for a company and/or any agents or representatives it engages in connection with this activity. The U.S. government and many U.S. states and municipalities also include within their definitions of ‘lobbying activity” efforts to influence their decisions to enter into commercial contracts or financial arrangements.
