Examples of Local Hire in a sentence

  • Employees hired into trainee-level positions (Targeted Local Hire) shall be hired at Step 1 and shall remain on Step 1 for the duration of a twelve (12) month probationary period.

  • For any project subject to this Agreement, the Local Hire, Priority Apprentice and Workforce Development Program requirements shall apply in lieu of the requirements of Stockton Municipal Code Section 3.68.095 and no separate compliance with Section 3.68.095 will be required of the Contractors/Employers working on the project.

  • Tenant’s failure to comply with the obligations in this Section shall constitute a material breach of this Lease and may subject Tenant to the consequences of noncompliance specified in the Local Hire Policy, including but not limited to penalties.

  • Hours worked by a Targeted Worker who is also a Local Resident may be applied towards both the mandatory 30 percent Local Hire and 10 percent Targeted Worker Hire goals.

Local Hire is a person who is hired or is domiciled within 80 kilometres of the job site by means of the shortest road route.

Local Hire. A local hire is an individual who lives within fifty (50) miles of the event location assigned for work. The Union shall report to the Employer each employee’s Production City, via the Referral List most closely aligned with the employee’s domicile/residence, and such employee shall be considered a Local Hire within that Production City. No individual may be considered a “local” in more than one (1) Production City at any one time; however, Employees may change their local identity within their resident jurisdiction twice per year with notice to Union and Employer. Any such individual is not paid for travel time nor mileage to or from the venue. As such, the Technician’s time starts and ends at the site of assignment.
