Local Resource Zone definition

Local Resource Zone means each of the smallest geographic areas prescribed by MISO for purposes of addressing congestion that limits Planning Resource (as defined in the MISO Rules) deliverability and/or otherwise for purposes of defining and/or allocating Capacity-Related Benefits. As of the Effective Date, “Local Resource Zone” refers to each Local Resource Zone (as defined in the MISO Rules). If at any time after the Effective Date, MISO sub-divides Local Resource Zones (as defined in the MISO Rules) into smaller geographic areas, “Local Resource Zone”, as used in this Agreement, refers to each of the smallest of such smaller geographic subdivisions.
Local Resource Zone has the meaning given to such term in the MISO Rules.
Local Resource Zone has the meaning set forth in the Applicable Market Rules.

  • Local Resource Zone (LRZ) Allocation – A Local Resource Zone’s percentage allocation of its sub-region’s flow-based benefits as described in Section IV below.

  • Seller shall deliver Capacity into Local Resource Zone 6 (Indiana), as defined by MISO; provided that if the boundaries of Local Resource Zone 6 change after the Effective Date, Seller shall deliver Capacity into the Local Resource Zone that includes Buyer’s Service Territory (“Capacity Delivery Point”).

More Definitions of Local Resource Zone

Local Resource Zone has the meaning given to such term in the MISO Rules. “Losses” means, with respect to any Party, an amount equal to the present value of the economic loss to it, if any (exclusive of Costs), resulting from termination of this Agreement, determined in a commercially reasonable manner.

Related to Local Resource Zone

  • Natural resources means land, fish, wildlife, biota, air, water, ground water, drinking water supplies, and other such resources belonging to, managed by, held in trust by, appertaining to, or otherwise controlled by the United States or the State.

  • Renewable energy resources means energy derived from solar, wind, geothermal, biomass, and hydroelectricity. A fuel cell using hydrogen derived from these eligible resources is also an eligible electric generation technology. Fossil and nuclear fuels and their derivatives are not eligible resources.

  • Renewable energy resource means a resource that naturally replenishes over a human, not a geological, time frame and that is ultimately derived from solar power, water power, or wind power. Renewable energy resource does not include petroleum, nuclear, natural gas, or coal. A renewable energy resource comes from the sun or from thermal inertia of the earth and minimizes the output of toxic material in the conversion of the energy and includes, but is not limited to, all of the following:

  • renewable energy sources means renewable sources such as small hydro, wind, solar including its integration with combined cycle, biomass, bio fuel cogeneration, urban or municipal waste and other such sources as approved by the MNRE;

  • Energy storage system means a system which stores energy and releases it in the same form as was input.

  • Renewable Energy Source means an energy source that is not fossil carbon-based, non- renewable or radioactive, and may include solar, wind, biomass, geothermal, landfill gas, or wave, tidal and thermal ocean technologies, and includes a Certified Renewable Energy Source.

  • Historic resource means a publicly or privately owned historic building, structure, site, object, feature, or open space located within an historic district designated by the national register of historic places, the state register of historic sites, or a local unit acting under the local historic districts act, 1970 PA 169, MCL 399.201 to 399.215, or that is individually listed on the state register of historic sites or national register of historic places, and includes all of the following:

  • Water resources means all waters of the state occurring on the surface, in natural or artificial channels, lakes, reservoirs, or impoundments, and in subsurface aquifers, which are available, or which may be made available to agricultural, industrial, commercial, recreational, public, and domestic users;

  • Use Zone means the area beneath and surrounding a play structure or piece of equipment that is designated for unrestricted movement around the equipment, and onto which a child falling from or exiting the equipment could be expected to land.

  • School zone means an area near a school beginning at the school's front door, encompassing

  • Zone 3 means all of that part of the Lower Peninsula south of the line described in subdivision (bb).

  • Renewable energy system means a fixture, product, device, or interacting group of fixtures, products, or devices on the customer's side of the meter that use 1 or more renewable energy resources to generate electricity. Renewable energy system includes a biomass stove but does not include an incinerator or digester.

  • Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS) means the rechargeable energy storage system that provides electric energy for electrical propulsion.

  • Mineral Resource means a concentration or occurrence of diamonds, natural solid inorganic material, or fossilized organic material including base and precious metals, coal, diamonds or industrial minerals in or on the earth’s crust in such form and quantity and of such grade or quality that it has reasonable prospects for economic extraction. The location, quantity, grade, geological characteristics and continuity of a mineral resource are known, estimated or interpreted from specific geological evidence and knowledge;
