Message Processing definition

Message Processing is the creation of individual EMI formatted Billable Message detail Records from individual Recordings that reflect specific billing detail for use in billing the End User and/or AURs from individual Recordings that reflect the service feature group, duration and time of day for a message, Carrier Identification Code, among other fields, for use in billing access to the IXCs. Message Processing includes performing CMDS online edits required to ensure message detail and AURs are consistent with CMDS specifications.
