Minor Ailment definition

Minor Ailment means any sickness or injury which does not require: the use of medication for a period of greater than 15 days; more than one follow-up visit to a physician, hospitalization, surgical intervention, or referral to a specialist; and which ends at least 30 consecutive days prior to the Departure Date of each Trip. However, a chronic Condition or any complication of a chronic Condition is not considered a Minor Ailment.

Pre-Existing Condition means a medical condition, illness or injury known to you as the Applicant(s), family member (s) or key employee , and for which you as the Applicant(s), family member (s) or key employee have received diagnosis, and/or treatment and/or a medical consultation by a physician prior to the commencement date of a covered trip and includes a medically recognized complication or recurrence of a medical condition. Professional Sport means a sporting activity which is your main paid occupation.

Minor Ailment means a sickness or injury which does not require the use of medication for a period of greater than 14 days nor requires more than one follow-up visit to a physician nor requires hospital admittance or surgical intervention and which ends at least 30 days prior to your departure date. However, a condition or complications thereof which require continuous and ongoing medical attention is not considered a minor ailment.
