Mitigation Outcome definition

Mitigation Outcome means the reduction or removal of greenhouse gases resulting from the Mitigation Activity as expressed in tCO2e.
Mitigation Outcome means a real, additional, and verified reduction in GHG emissions or removal of GHGs from the atmosphere, measured in tCO2e and representing one (1) tCO2e in accordance with methodologies approved in accordance with the Paris Agreement Rules, and generated by a specific Mitigation Activity from 2024 onwards.

  • The Parties acknowledge and agree that in order to avoid double counting of Mitigation Outcomes transferred as ITMOs, the negotiation of a Framework Agreement for bilateral collaboration and/or any Mitigation Outcome Purchase Agreement developed pursuant to this cooperation will include provisions requiring the Parties to apply Corresponding Adjustments in accordance with Article 6 of the Paris Agreement.

  • In the event that cooperation results in the execution of a Mitigation Outcome Purchase Agreement, Sweden intends to acquire and reserve the right to use the ITMOs generated through this cooperation for compliance with its national targets and/or to be cancelled.

  • If a change is to occur, there are stringent requirements on both Parties to ensure that there is no double counting of the Mitigation Outcome.
