Motor vehicle mechanic means a technician or other individual who, for compensation, repairs motor vehicles, including the reconditioning, replacement, adjustment, or alteration of the operating condition, of any component or subassembly of a motor vehicle.
Motor vehicle mechanic means any person whether self-employed or employed by another, who, for compensation, engages in the diagnosis or repair of malfunctions of motor vehicles, and may be classified as "intermediate" or "journey worker" as the terms are commonly used in the motor vehicle repair industry.
Motor vehicle mechanic means that term as defined in section 2 of the motor vehicle service and repair act, 1974 PA 300, MCL 257.1302.
