MRI unit definition

MRI unit means the essential equipment and facility necessary to operate one MRI system.
MRI unit means the magnetic resonance system consisting of an integrated set of machines and related equipment necessary to produce the images and/or spectroscopic quantitative data from scans including FDA-approved positron emission tomography (PET)/MRI scanner hybrids if used for MRI only procedures. The term does not include MRI simulators used solely for treatment planning purposes in conjunction with a Megavoltage Radiation Therapy (MRT) unit.
MRI unit has the meaning ascribed thereto in Section 3.5.
