Negative Performance definition

Negative Performance means the performance of the Underlying, determined according to the following formula and always represented by a positive value: Max[0; 1 – (Final Reference Value / Initial Reference Value)]

Examples of Negative Performance in a sentence

  • If the Company’s actual gas commodity purchase dollars are greater than the Benchmark Dollars plus the Tolerance Band, a Negative Performance exists.

  • There should not be any significant contractual severance entitlements which are not diminished by individual Negative Performance Contributions.

A Long-Term Performance Award shall permit the recipient to receive a cash or stock bonus (as determined by the Committee) upon satisfaction of such performance factors as are set out in the recipient's individual grant. Long-Term Performance Awards will be based upon the achievement of Company, Subsidiary and/or individual performance factors or upon such other criteria as the Committee may deem appropriate.
