Observation Date definition

Observation Date means each of the following Observation Dates:
Observation Date means the fifth Banking Day prior to each Redemption Date and each Call Date. If such day is not a Calculation Date, the immediately following day, which is a Calculation Date, shall be the respective Observation Date. The respective Redemption Date or the respective Call Date will be postponed accordingly. Interest shall not be payable due to such postponement.
Observation Date means each date specified as an Observation Date in the applicable Final Terms, or if any such date is not a Scheduled Trading Day, the immediately following Scheduled Trading Day unless, in the opinion of the Calculation Agent, any such day is a Disrupted Day. If any such day is a Disrupted Day, then the provisions contained in the definition of "Averaging Date" shall apply mutatis mutandis as if references in such provisions to "Averaging Date" were to "Observation Date";

Examples of Observation Date in a sentence

  • If one of these days is not an Underlying Calculation Date in relation to an Underlying(i), the immediately succeeding Underlying Calculation Date is deemed to be the relevant Observation Date in relation to all Underlyings.

  • Unless previously redeemed, repurchased or cancelled, upon the occurrence of a Trigger Event on any Trigger Observation Date, the Issuer shall redeem each Complex Product on the relevant Trigger Redemption Date at the relevant Trigger Redemption Price.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, if for any Observation Date no Additional Amount was paid (§ 1 (1) (d)), the Additional Amount(k) for such Observation Date equals Zero (0).

  • If the Issuer determines, in its sole discretion, that on any Observation Date a Market Disruption Event has occurred, then that Observation Date shall be postponed until the first succeeding Underlying Stock Business Day on which there is no Market Disruption Event, unless there is a Market Disruption Event on each of the five Underlying Stock Business Days immediately following the original date that, but for the Market Disruption Event, would have been an Observation Date.

  • In this example, no Autocall Redemption Event would occur because the Portfolio Value at each Observation Date is below the Autocall Redemption Value.


More Definitions of Observation Date

Observation Date means each Date as specified in the Summary Term Sheet above, provided that if such day is not a Scheduled Trading Day then, as per Modified Following Business Day Convention or if the day which would otherwise be the Observation Date, is a Disrupted Day, then the relevant Observation Date shall be the first succeeding Scheduled Trading Day that is not a Disrupted Day, unless each of the eight Scheduled Trading Days immediately following the Observation Date is a Disrupted Day. In that case (a) that the eighth Scheduled Trading Day shall be deemed to be the relevant Observation Date (notwithstanding the fact that such day is a Disrupted Day) and (b) the Company shall determine the level of the Reference Index as of the Observation Time on that eighth Scheduled Trading Day in accordance with the formula for and method of calculating the Reference Index last in effect prior to the occurrence of the first Disrupted Day using the Exchange traded or quoted price as of the Observation Time on that eighth Scheduled Trading Day of each security comprising the Reference Index (or, if an event giving rise to a Disrupted Day has occurred in respect of the relevant security on that eighth Scheduled Trading Day, its good faith estimate of the value for the relevant security as of the Valuation Time on that eighth Scheduled Trading Day); provided always that the final Observation Date will not be later than the eighth Business Day after the Final Valuation Date and if the eighth Scheduled Trading Day would be later than the eighth Business Day after the Final Valuation Date, references to the eighth Scheduled Trading Day shall be deemed to be the eighth Business Day after the Final Valuation Date.
Observation Date means each date specified as such in the applicable Pricing Supplement, or if such date is not a Scheduled Trading Day the first Scheduled Trading Day thereafter unless, in the opinion of the Calculation Agent such day is a Disrupted Day. If any such day is a Disrupted Day, then:
Observation Date. : means the dates provided on page 4 on which the Plan has the potential to mature early
Observation Date means each Scheduled Observation Date, but with the last Observation Date being the Final Observation Date, provided that if any such date is not a Scheduled Valuation Day, the related Observation Date shall be the next following Scheduled Valuation Day.
