Nurse Clinician definition

Nurse Clinician is an Employee with the rank of Nurse Clinician I, II or III. A Nurse Clinician I is a Registered Nurse with a minimum of a BN or BScN. A Nurse Clinician II is a Registered Nurse with a BN or BScN employed by the Nursing program as of July 1, 2006 and with a completed Master’s degree in a discipline other than Nursing by July 1, 2006. A Nurse Clinician III is a Registered Nurse with a BN or BScN and a MN or MScN. Parties: means the parties to this Collective Agreement, namely the University of New Brunswick and the Association. Regular Academic Year: designates the period of time from the first day of registration in the month of September to the date set for Encaenia in the next calendar year, inclusive.
Nurse Clinician means a Clinical Nurse Specialist who demonstrates clinical expertise through advanced knowledge and skills in an area of clinical nursing. The Nurse Clinician is responsible for the admission of the patient to the clinic, ensuring all relevant pre-operative information is available and completing a medical history for each patient. The Nurse Clinician will also provide pre-operative education to the patient and their family and must report to the medical staff any issues that may impact the patient’s treatment.

  • Competence in the performance of professional responsibilities of the Nurse Clinician shall be based on an appropriate combination of the principal duties of Nurse Clinicians set out in Article 16D.

  • If a Nurse Clinician I or II completes all requirements for a MN or MScN, he/she will be converted to a Nurse Clinician III upon notification to the Xxxx of successful completion.
