By law, to enable all participating utilities time to mark their facilities, the One Call Center in your state requires notification by calling 811 prior to any excavation.

USIC will not be responsible for the accuracy, updates to or the completeness of the definition of the Contract service area that Customer has provided to the state’s One Call Center.

If the facility owner/operator fails to respond to the excavator’s timely request for a locate (e.g., within the time specified by state/provincial requirements) or if the facility owner/operator notifies the excavator that the underground facility cannot be marked within the time frame and a mutually agreeable date for marking cannot be arrived at, the excavator recalls the One Call Center.
The excavator stops excavating and notifies the One Call Center for remarks if any facility mark is removed or no longer visible.
If Georgia Miss Utility One Call Center does not perform this service at the project site, contact and ensure that a commercial utility location service marks underground utilities in the field before any excavation begins.
