Pecuniary harm definition

Pecuniary harm means harm that is monetary or that otherwise is readily measurable in money. Accordingly, pecuniary harm does not include emotional distress, harm to reputation, or other non-economic harm.

  • Pecuniary Interest means the opportunity, directly or indirectly, to profit or share in any profit derived from a transaction in securities.

  • Indirect Losses means loss of profits, loss of production, loss of business, loss of business opportunity, or any claim for consequential loss or for indirect loss of any nature;

  • Disclosable Pecuniary Interest means an interest of yourself, or of your partner if you are aware of your partner's interest, within the descriptions set out in Table 1 below.

  • Consequential Loss means loss of profits, anticipated loss of profit or revenue, loss of production, loss of business opportunity, loss of or damage to goodwill or reputation, loss of use or any other similar loss, but excludes:

  • Unfair Advantage means any conduct, direct or indirect, by a Proponent that may result in gaining an unfair advantage over other Proponents, including but not limited to (i) possessing, or having access to, information in the preparation of its Proposal that is confidential to the Purchaser and which is not available to other Proponents, (ii) communicating with any person with a view to influencing, or being conferred preferred treatment in, the RFP process, or (iii) engaging in conduct that compromises or could be seen to compromise the integrity of the RFP process and result in any unfairness.

  • Damages means any loss, claim, damage, liability, costs and expenses (including, without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees and disbursements and costs and expenses of expert witnesses and investigation).

  • Compensatory Damages are those amounts awarded to compensate for the actual damages sustained, and are not awarded as a penalty, nor fixed in amount by statute.

  • Indirect holdings means all securities of a company that are held in an account or fund, including a mutual fund, that is managed by one or more persons who are not employed by the state treasurer or a retirement system, if the state treasurer or retirement system owns shares or interests either:

  • Indirect Ownership Interest means an ownership interest in an entity that has an ownership interest in another entity. Indirect ownership interest includes an ownership interest in an entity that has an indirect ownership interest in another entity.

  • Business activity means that term as defined in section 3(2) of the former single business tax act, 1975 PA 228, or in section 105 of the Michigan business tax act, 2007 PA 36, MCL 208.1105.

  • compensatory leave means leave with pay in lieu of cash payment for overtime. The duration of such leave will be equal to the overtime worked multiplied by the applicable overtime rate.

  • BRRD Liability means a liability in respect of which the relevant Write Down and Conversion Powers in the applicable Bail-in Legislation may be exercised.

  • Aggrieved person is the person or persons making the claim.
