Peer Index definition

Peer Index means the S&P Software and Services Select Industry Index.
Peer Index means the SNL US Homebuilders Index (or any successor thereto).
Peer Index. The companies listed in the S&P 500 Health Care Industry Index at the start of the Performance Period. The Compensation Committee may, in its sole discretion, adjust the Peer Index in the event of: (i) the merger of two members of the Peer Index; (ii) the acquisition of a member of the Peer Index by another member of the Peer Index; (iii) the acquisition of a member of the Peer Index by a company that is not a member of the Peer Index; and (iv) a split of a member of the Peer Index (in which case the Compensation Committee may, in its sole discretion, include both companies in the Peer Index). A Peer Company shall remain in the Peer Index following its bankruptcy or delisting (and shall be listed at the bottom of the Peer Index).

Examples of Peer Index in a sentence

  • Following the Total Shareholder Return determination, the Company’s Percentile Rank shall be determined as follows: Percentile Rank shall be determined by listing from highest Total Shareholder Return to lowest Total Shareholder Return each company in the Peer Index (excluding the Company).

  • Each company in between would be one hundred divided by n minus one (100/(n-1)) (rounded to nearest basis point - x.xx%) above the company below it, where “n” is the total number of companies in the Peer Index.

  • Pursuant to Articles 4 and 9 of the Plan, the Committee shall have the discretion to calculate the total stockholder returns for the Performance Period for the Peer Index Companies, including the Company, and to determine the formula to achieve such calculations.

  • Following the TSR determination, the Company’s Percentile Rank shall be determined as follows: Percentile Rank shall be determined by listing from highest TSR to lowest TSR each company in the Peer Index (excluding the Company) as described on Appendix B.

  • Notwithstanding any other provision of this Agreement to the contrary, the Award pursuant to this Agreement shall lapse and be forfeited on the Final Day of the Performance Period if (a) the Company’s total stockholder return for the Performance Period is less than the 25th percentile of the total stockholder returns of the Peer Index Companies for the Performance Period and (b) a Change in Control of the Company has not occurred on or before the Final Day of the Performance Period.

Peer Index an index of peer companies comprising those companies contained in the GICS Code 352030 Life Sciences Tools & Services as of [date Performance Period begins], with 20__ sales between ten percent (10%) and seven hundred and fifty percent (750%) of the Company’s 20__sales or a similar index of companies as determined by the Committee in its sole discretion. A company included in the Peer Index that during the Performance Period is acquired or is no longer required to report under the Exchange Act (other than owing to its filing for bankruptcy under Chapter 7 the U.S. Bankruptcy Code) shall be deemed to have been removed from the Peer Index as of the beginning of the Performance Period.
Peer Index means the S&P 500 Index excluding Financial sector companies. For purposes of the Relative TSR determination, the companies that comprise the S&P 500 Index on the first day of the Performance Period (each a “Peer Company” and collectively , the “Peer Companies”) will remain constant throughout the performance period. As a result, at the end of the Performance Period, the actual number of Peer Companies used to calculate Relative TSR is expected to be fewer than at the beginning of the Performance Period. In determining Relative TSR, the Committee may, in its discretion, make adjustments to the list of Peer Companies and assumptions with respect to any such Peer Company’s TSR to reflect events that occur during the Performance Period, including, but not limited to, acquisitions, divestitures, spin-offs, bankruptcy, insolvency and other extraordinary events.
