Police Support Officer definition

Police Support Officer means an Employee of the Queensland Police Service, who has been appointed as such and who satisfactorily completes a required and approved course of training orientated towards a range of police duties. Such officers will carry out the assigned duties of a Police Support Officer for which they have been appropriately trained and be under the control or direction of a designated police officer. A Police Support Officer does not include temporary or permanent administrative or clerical staff.
