Preferential Use Gate definition

Preferential Use Gate means a Gate assigned by the Port for Preferential Use by a Signatory Airline as set forth in Article 4.

Preferential Use Gate means a Gate assigned by the Port for Preferential Use by a Signatory Carrier as set forth in Article 4 of SLOA.

Preferential Use Gate means a Gate assigned by Authority to Airline or another Passenger Carrier and to which Airline has a higher priority of use over all other Passenger Carriers, in accordance with and subject to Article 4 and the Gate, Ticket Counter and Aircraft Parking Position Rules.

Examples of Preferential Use Gate in a sentence

• The annual fee for the use of any Port-owned Passenger Loading Bridge serving a Preferential Use Gate shall equal the Average Passenger Loading Bridge Cost.

• In accommodating the Port in its right to schedule such operations, Airline shall allow and provide for use of its facilities or equipment (not including ground service equipment) at the Preferential Use Gate, or permit use of Port equipment and podiums, as may be required for the efficient use of the Preferential Use Gate by a Requesting Airline.

• Notwithstanding anything to the contrary set forth in this Agreement, Authority shall have the right on a day-to-day basis to schedule arrivals and departures on Airline’s Preferential Use Gate if Airline is not actually utilizing that Preferential Use Gate during its Period of Use for a Scheduled Operation, and if no Common Use Gate is available.

• When Airline is a First Priority User and has completed its Scheduled Operation at a Preferential Use Gate, it may be ordered by Authority to remove its aircraft from the Gate to facilitate the use of the Gate by another airline, provided the use by the other airline does not interfere with the First Priority User’s other Scheduled Operations at the Gate.

• Notwithstanding the foregoing and any other provision of this Article 3, City shall have the right, upon reasonable notice to Airline, to accommodate arrivals and departures by a Requesting Airline at a Preferential Use Gate during Airline’s Periods of Use of that Preferential Use Gate if Airline is not utilizing the Preferential Use Gate during the Period of Use for a Scheduled Operation.

• An airline operating international flights, requiring the use of FIS Facilities, shall not qualify for assignment of a Preferential Use Gate but shall be assigned Second Priority Use rights at Airport to protect its Scheduled Operations.

• Any Gate first becoming available for use after July 1 of each Fiscal Year shall be reserved for use as a Common Use Gate for the remainder of that Fiscal Year unless, after taking into consideration any recommendation of the RMAC, the Director, in the Director’s sole discretion, designates the Gate as a Joint Use Gate or assigns it to a Signatory Airline as a Preferential Use Gate.

• If no Authority-Controlled Facility is suitable and available for the Scheduled Operation of a Requesting Airline, the Requesting Airline may submit its request to the Authority to use a Preferential Use Gate or Preferential Common Use Ticket Counter at the Airport.

• Airline shall have priority over another Air Carrier to lease Unenclosed Operations Premises adjacent to any Preferential Use Gate assigned to Airline or to Airline’s Exclusive Use Premises.

• If the Gate Accommodating Airline’s or the Gate Requesting Airline’s Irregular Operation exceed the Period of Use on Airline’s Preferential Use Gate, then that Passenger Carrier may be required by Authority to immediately vacate the Preferential Use Gate, at its sole expense.

More Definitions of Preferential Use Gate

Preferential Use Gate means a Gate over which Airline and its Affiliates have preferred use over all other Air Carriers at all times, except as provided in the accommodation provisions of Sections 5.03.D-F.‌

Preferential Use Gate means a Gate assigned by the City to a Signatory Airline in accordance with Article 4 of the AUA, and shall be deemed to include a Preferential Use International Gate.

Preferential Use Gate or “Preferential Gate” means a gate assigned by MDAD to AIRLINE or another Signatory Airline to which AIRLINE or such other Signatory Airline has a preferential use of such gate to the extent provided in Tab D(2).
