Preferential Use definition

Preferential Use of a Gate means scheduling preference, over similar operations by another Scheduled Airline, given to a Signatory Airline for the use of a Gate during applicable Periods of Use for its Scheduled Operations.
Preferential Use means a right or use having priority, but not exclusivity, over a use by other Passenger Air Transportation Companies.

  • City shall, whenever it is practical to do so, schedule such operations by a Requesting Airline at Common Use Ticket Counters and shall consider the recommendations, if any, by the Resource Management Advisory Committee before scheduling Requesting Airline arrivals and departures at any Preferential Use Ticket Counters.

  • In no event shall Requesting Air Carrier be required, pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Section 5.03(B), to make any payment to the Airline for use of the Airline’s Preferential Use Premises.

  • City shall have the right, upon reasonable notice to Airline, to schedule at a Preferential Use Ticket Counter departures by a Requesting Airline at all periods of time other than Airline’s Periods of Use of that Preferential Use Ticket Counter.

More Definitions of Preferential Use

Preferential Use means the scheduling preference given to Airline over similar operations by other airlines for the use of a Preferential Use Gate or Preferential Common Use Ticket Counter during applicable Periods of Use for its Scheduled Operations. An Airline assigned a Preferential Use Gate shall have the right to use the Joint Use Premises and Common Use Premises in the Terminal where the assigned Gate is located. Preferential Use Gates, together with the adjacent Joint Use Premises and Common Use Premises, shall be used only for the purpose of the Airline’s Air Transportation Business. On the Effective Date of this Agreement, Airline is entitled to one (1) Preferential Use Gate for the first 625 Scheduled Departing Seats Per Day and one additional Preferential Use Gate for every additional 750 Scheduled Departing Seats Per Day, subject to the condition that no more than six (6) Preferential Use Gates shall be assigned to any one Airline at one time. The Authority may annually or more frequently if necessary, reset the minimum number(s) of Scheduled Departing Seats Per Day used in the Daily Average Utilization formula to ensure the allocation of Gates to Airlines is fair and that the Authority retains a sufficient number of Authority-Controlled Facilities. In calculating the Scheduled Departing Seats Per Day, Authority may refer to various months of an Airline’s Scheduled Operations to ensure the calculation is equitably set and applied. Article 5 shall govern the interpretation of this definition.
Preferential Use. Premises shall mean those portions of the Terminal Building and Terminal Aircraft Aprons assigned to AIRLINE, as shown in Exhibits B and C, attached hereto, to which AIRLINE shall have priority over other users, subject to the provisions of Article 16.
