Elevator means any hoisting or lowering device to connect floors or landings, whether or not in service, and all appliances pertaining to the elevator, including any car, platform, shaft, hoistway, stairway, runway, power equipment and machinery; THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE:
a. an automobile servicing hoist;
b. a hoist without a platform outside a building if without mechanical power or if it is not attached to building walls;
c. a hod or material hoist used in alteration, construction or demolition operations;
d. an inclined conveyor used exclusively for carrying property; or
e. a dumbwaiter used exclusively for carrying property and having a compartment height not exceeding four feet.
Private entity means any entity other than a State, local government, Indian tribe, or foreign public entity, as those terms are defined in 2 CFR 175.25. Includes:
Lobby means a covered space in which all the adjoining rooms open;
Private Roads means Lateral Access Roads and the Company's access roads within a Railway Corridor;
private road means a road (not being a public road) which is either constructed by the Joint Venturers in accordance with their proposals as approved by the Minister hereunder or agreed by the parties to be a private road for the purposes of this Agreement;
Private Xxxxxx shall have the meaning assigned to such term in Section 10.01(f).
SOFR Floor means a rate of interest per annum equal to zero basis points (0.00%).
Base flood elevation means the depth or peak eleva- tion of flooding, including wave height, which has a one percent or greater chance of occurring in any given year.
Public building and "public work" means a public building of, and a public work of, a governmental entity (the United States; the District of Columbia; commonwealths, territories, and minor outlying islands of the United States; State and local governments; and multi-State, regional, or interstate entities which have governmental functions). These buildings and works may include, without limitation, bridges, dams, plants, highways, parkways, streets, subways, tunnels, sewers, mains, power lines, pumping stations, heavy generators, railways, airports, terminals, docks, piers, wharves, ways, lighthouses, buoys, jetties, breakwaters, levees, and canals, and the construction, alteration, maintenance, or repair of such buildings and works.
Private use means any use of the Trading Platform by Clients that are physical persons;
private enterprise means a private enterprise as defined in the Handbook.
Wood floor wax means wax-based products for use solely on wood floors.
Base Flood Elevation (BFE means a determination of the water surface elevations of the base flood as published in the Flood Insurance Study. When the BFE has not been provided in a “Special Flood Hazard Area”, it may be obtained from engineering studies available from a Federal, State, or other source using FEMA approved engineering methodologies. This elevation, when combined with the “Freeboard”, establishes the “Regulatory Flood Protection Elevation”.
Private Key means the key of a key pair used to create a digital signature;
Private Open Space means land that is privately owned and used for practising of sport, play- or leisure facilities or used as a botanical garden, cemetery or nature area.
Terrace means a relatively level step constructed in the face of a graded slope surface for drainage and maintenance purposes.
apartment building means a residential use building, or the residential use portion of a mixed-use building, other than a townhouse or stacked townhouse containing four or more dwelling units each of which shall have access to above grade common halls, stairs, elevators, and yards;
Private road or driveway means every way or place in private ownership and used for vehicular travel by the owner and those having express or implied permission from the owner, but not by other persons.
Tower means any structure built for the sole or primary purpose of supporting any FCC-licensed or authorized antennas and their associated facilities, including structures that are constructed for wireless communications services including, but not limited to, private, broadcast, and public safety services, as well as unlicensed wireless services and fixed wireless services such as microwave backhaul, and the associated site.
Curbside “Curb” means that portion of the right-of-way adjacent to paved or traveled roadways, including the end of a driveway, curb line or alley line. Containers will be placed as close to the roadway as practicable without interfering with or endangering the movement of vehicles or pedestrians.
Water surface elevation means the height, in relation to the National Geodetic Vertical Datum (NGVD) of 1929, the North American Vertical Datum (NAVD) of 1988, or other datum, where specified, of floods of various magnitudes and frequencies in the floodplains of riverine areas.
Side Yard means a yard of a lot extending from the front yard to the rear yard, and from the side lot line to the nearest wall of the nearest main building or structure on the lot;
Lowest floor means the lowest floor of the lowest enclosed area (including basement). An unfinished or flood resistant enclosure, usable solely for parking of vehicles, building access, or limited storage in an area other than a basement area is not considered a building's lowest floor, provided that such an enclosure is not built so as to render the structure in violation of the applicable non-elevation design requirements of this ordinance.
the trunk road means the A590 Trunk Road;
fire hydrant means a fire plug or fixed pillar fire hydrant;
private land means any land that has been or may hereafter be alienated from the Crown for any estate of freehold, or is or may hereafter be the subject of any conditional purchase agreement, or of any lease or concession with or without a right of acquiring the fee simple thereof (not being a pastoral lease within the meaning of the Land Administration Act 1997 or a lease or concession otherwise granted by or on behalf of the Crown for grazing purposes only or for timber purposes or a lease of Crown land for the use and benefit of the Aboriginal inhabitants) but —
