Public Improvements Warranty Period definition

Public Improvements Warranty Period means a period of one year from the date that the City Engineer or City Engineer’s designee, in accordance with the terms and conditions of paragraph 5.9 below, approves the Public Improvements and certifies their compliance with approved specifications.

  • Warranty Period /„Maintenance Period‟ shall mean the period during which the Contractor shall remain liable for repair or replacement of any defective part of the Works performed under the Contract.

However, emergency life safety systems, such as emergency lighting, fire alarm, and audio evacuation systems, that are discrete systems incorporated into a public building or work and that are produced as complete systems, are evaluated as a single and distinct construction material regardless of when or how the individual parts or components of those systems are delivered to the construction site. Materials purchased directly by the Government are supplies, not construction material.
