Rate Center Area or “Exchange Area” means the specific geographic point and corresponding geographic area which has been identified by a given LEC as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code assigned to the LEC for its provision of Telephone Exchange Services. The Rate Center Area is the exclusive geographic area which the LEC has identified as the area within which it will provide Telephone Exchange Services bearing the particular NPA-NXX designation associated with the specific Rate Center Area. A “Rate Center Point” is a specific geographic point, defined by a V&H coordinate, located within the Rate Center Area and used to measure distance for the purpose of billing Customers for distance-sensitive Telephone Exchange Services and Toll Traffic.

Rate Center Area or “Exchange Area” means the geographic area that has been identified by a given LEC as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code assigned to the LEC for its provision of Telephone Exchange Services. The Rate Center Area is the exclusive geographic area which the LEC has identified as the area within which it will provide Telephone Exchange Services bearing the particular NPA-NXX designation associated with the specific Rate Center Area.

Examples of Rate Center Area in a sentence

• During the term of this Agreement, GCTC shall adopt the Rate Center Area and Rate Center Points that the Commission has approved for Verizon within the LATA and Tandem serving area.

• GCTC shall assign whole NPA-NXX codes to each Rate Center Area unless otherwise ordered by the FCC, the Commission or another governmental entity of appropriate jurisdiction, or the LEC industry adopts alternative methods of utilizing NXXs.

• GCTC shall designate one location for each Rate Center Area in which the GCTC has established NXX code(s) as the Routing Point for the NPA-NXXs associated with that Rate Center Area, and such Routing Point shall be within the same LATA as the Rate Center Area but not necessarily within the Rate Center Area itself.

• CLEC Party shall designate one location for each Rate Center Area in which the CLEC Party has established NXX Code(s) as the Routing Point for the NPA- NXXs associated with that Rate Center Area, and such Routing Point shall be within the same LATA as the Rate Center Area but not necessarily within the Rate Center Area itself.

• During the term of this Agreement, CLEC Party shall adopt the Rate Center Area and Rate Center Points that the Commission has approved for Verizon within the LATA and Tandem serving area.

More Definitions of Rate Center Area

Rate Center Area refers to the geographic area that has been identified as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code assigned to the LEC for its provision of Telephone Exchange Services. The Rate Center Area is the exclusive geographic area that the LEC has identified as the area within which it will provide Telephone Exchange Services bearing the particular NPA-NXX designation associated with the specific Rate Center Area.

Rate Center Area is the geographic area within which basic Exchange Services are provided for NPA-NXX designations associated with a particular Rate Center.

Rate Center Area means the following in each applicable area: 2.142.1 AT&T MIDWEST REGION 5-STATE: “Rate Center” means the specific geographic point that has been designated by a given LEC as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code that has been assigned to the LEC for its provision of Telephone Exchange Service. Rate Center Area or “Rate Center” means an uniquely defined geographical location within an exchange area (or a location outside the exchange area) for which mileage measurements are determined for the application of interstate tariffs.

Rate Center Area or "Exchange Area" means the geographic area that has been identified by a given LEC as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code which has been assigned to the LEC for its provision of Telephone Exchange Services. Rate Centers will be identical for each Party until such time as MGC is permitted by an appropriate regulatory body to create its own Rate Centers within an area.

Rate Center Area or "Exchange Area" means the specific geographic point and corresponding geographic area which has been identified by a given LEC or CMRS provider as being associated with a particular NPA-NXX code assigned to the LEC or CMRS provider for its provision of Telephone Exchange Services. The Rate Center Area is the exclusive geographic area which the LEC or CMRS provider has identified as the area within which it will provide Telephone Exchange or wireless Services bearing the particular NPA-NXX designation associated with the specific Rate Center Area. A "Rate Center Point" is a specific geographic point, defined by a V&H coordinate, located within the Rate Center Area and used to measure distance for the purpose of billing Customers for distance-sensitive Telephone Exchange Services and Toll Traffic.
