Regular Force definition

Regular Force means the Police Force other than—

Regular Force means the Regular Force of the Army or the Air Force referred to in section four; “Reserve Force” means a Reserve Force established in terms of section six;

Examples of Regular Force in a sentence

• The one-year Ontario residency requirement is waived for any Ontario Card or Canada Card applicant who is a spouse or dependant of a: Regular Force member of the Canadian Forces; or Reservist currently deployed by the Canadian Forces into active service and who takes up residence in Ontario during the fiscal year.

• For the purpose of clause 31.1 only, effective April 1, 2012 on a go forward basis, any former service in the Canadian Forces for a continuous period of six months or more, either as a member of the Regular Force or of the Reserve Force while on Class B or C service, shall be included in the calculation of vacation leave credits, once verifiable evidence of such service has been provided in a manner acceptable to the Council.

• The role of the Supplementary Reserve is to augment the Regular Force and other sub-components of the Reserve Force with individual Supplementary Reserve members as required during normal peacetime situations, with their consent, and during an emergency or mobilization if placed on active service, without their consent.

• Members of the Regular Force and Primary Reserve can voluntarily transfer between their respective components.

• Cadet Training Centres embody three groups of individuals: course cadets, staff cadets, and adult staff (including Officers, Civilian Instructors and non-commissioned members of the Regular Force, Primary Reserve and/or COATS.) Fraternization, that is, inappropriate interactions as defined in CATO 15-22, among any of these categories is not permitted.
