Relevant Competition Authority definition

Relevant Competition Authority means the European Commission, the Federal Trade Commission or the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice, Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt), Norwegian Competition Authority (Konkurransetilsynet) and Turkish Competition Authority (Rekabet Kurumu);
Relevant Competition Authority means a government institution in a Member State responsible for administering and enforcing the national competition law or policy;
Relevant Competition Authority means each authority, or regulatory body with legal authority to make a decision granting or refusing consent to a merger or acquisition falling within its jurisdiction and within whose jurisdiction the Purchaser has a mandatory obligation to notify such authority or body of the acquisition of all or part of the Business and the Companies by the Purchasers solely for the purpose of obtaining any consent which as a requirement of law within that jurisdiction must be obtained before the transfer of such part of the Business as actually falls within the relevant jurisdiction can be implemented in accordance with the terms of this Agreement or any relevant Local Agreement;

  • The Partners intend to notify this Agreement to any Relevant Competition Authority without undue delay but in no event later than twenty (20) Business Days after the Review End Date.

Relevant Competition Authority means the relevant authority, or regulatory body, in each of the jurisdictions listed in Schedule 18 (Relevant Competition Authorities) with legal authority to make a decision pursuant to antitrust, competition or similar laws granting or refusing consent to a merger or acquisition falling within its jurisdiction and within whose jurisdictions the acquisition of all or part of the Business Assets and the Shares by the Purchaser actually falls together with the relevant authority, or regulatory body in each jurisdiction in which additional mandatory filings may be required in connection with the acquisition of all or part of the Business Assets and the Shares by the Purchaser, by reason of a change in legislation after the date of this Agreement;
Relevant Competition Authority means the Austrian Federal Competition Authority (“FCA”), the Brazilian Competition Authority (“XXXX”) and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (the “FTC”) or the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice (the “DOJ”);
Relevant Competition Authority means the Relevant Authorities in Spain, Austria or Germany with legal authority to issue a decision, order or injunction pursuant to anti-trust, competition, merger control or similar laws granting or refusing consent to all or part of the transaction(s) effected or contemplated by this Agreement, or, in the case of a referral pursuant to Article 22(1) EUMR, the European Commission;

  • Competition Authority means any Governmental Authority or other competition or antitrust body or other authority, in any jurisdiction, which is responsible for applying merger control or other competition or antitrust legislation in such jurisdiction, including the notion of “competent authority” as that term is used in the EC Merger Regulation;

  • Taxation Authority means any domestic or foreign government, agency or authority that is entitled to impose Taxes or to administer any applicable Tax legislation.

  • Resolution Authority means an EEA Resolution Authority or, with respect to any UK Financial Institution, a UK Resolution Authority.

  • Data Protection Authority means an independent public authority that is legally tasked with overseeing compliance with applicable data protection laws.

  • Aviation Authority means the FAA or any Government Entity which under the Laws of the U.S. from time to time has control over civil aviation or the registration, airworthiness or operation of aircraft in the U.S. If the Aircraft is registered in a country other than the U.S., "Aviation Authority" means the agency which regulates civil aviation in such other country.

  • Certification Authority means an entity that certifies the generation, characteristics or Delivery of a REC, or the qualification of a Renewable Energy Facility or Renewable Energy Source under an Applicable Program, may include, as applicable, the Administrator, a GIS, a Governmental Authority, the Verification Provider, one or both of the Parties, an independent auditor, or other third party, and should include (i) if no Applicable Program is specified, the Seller, or the generator of the RECs if the Seller is not the generator, (ii) if the RECs are to be Delivered pursuant to an Applicable Program, the Administrator of the Applicable Program, or such other person or entity specified by the Applicable Program to perform Certification, or (iii) such other person or entity specified by the Parties.

  • Relevant UK Resolution Authority means any authority with the ability to exercise a UK Bail-in Power.

  • Registration Authority or "RA" means an entity approved by a CA to assist Certificate Applicants in applying for, approving, rejecting, or revoking Certificates.

  • Relevant Resolution Authority means the resolution authority with the ability to exercise any Bail-in Powers in relation to the relevant BRRD Party.

  • EEA Agreement means the Agreement on the European Economic Area signed at Oporto on 2nd May 1992 as adjusted by the Protocol signed at Brussels on 17th March 1993;

  • Relevant Tax Authority means HMRC, or, if applicable, the tax authority in the jurisdiction in which the Supplier is established;

  • Competition Act Approval means that one or more of the following shall have occurred: (i) the relevant waiting period in section 123 of the Competition Act shall have expired, been waived or been terminated and the Commissioner shall have issued a letter to the Parties indicating that he does not, at that time, intend to make an application under section 92 of the Competition Act in respect of the Investment; or (ii) the Commissioner shall have issued an ARC in respect of the Investment;

  • Sanctions Authorities means the respective governmental institutions and agencies of any of the United States, the United Nations, the European Union, the United Kingdom, including without limitation, OFAC, the United States Department of State, and Her Majesty's Treasury;
