Research Field of Use definition

Research Field of Use means the provision of safety science research and development activities relating to health, safety and environmental resiliency and sustainability (including chemical, electrochemical, fire, energy and digital), including business, charitable and educational activities related thereto such as public dissemination, marketing, advertising and promotional activities.

Research Field of Use means all applications of Gene Product(s) outside the Flavors and Fragrances Field of Use, including without limitation, conducting research, identification, development and commercialization of Drug Products, Diagnostic Products, Antisense Product(s) and/or Therapeutic Product(s).
Research Field of Use means the prophylaxis, palliation, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases by pharmaceutical products via any route of administration.
Research Field of Use means the performance by Authorized Users of research that directly relates to use or analysis of Genotypes, Haplotypes and HAP Marker Data in the HAP Focus Database solely for purposes of identifying correlations between genetic variants and pregnancy outcomes.

Research Field of Use or “Internal Research Field of Use”: shall mean (a) research, development, manufacture, use, importation and/or sale of Research Products; and (b) all internal research applications of Gene/Gene Derivative(s), associated with conducting research in the Antisense Field of Use, the Therapeutic Field of Use and research in the identification, development and commercialization of Drug Products. The Research Field of Use excludes the Diagnostic Field of Use, the Homebrew Field of Use, the Personalized Research Field of Use, and the GHI Database Field of Use.
Research Field of Use means internal use of the LifeTools-TM- Product, at ELITRA's or an ELITRA Affiliate's facilities (a) by personnel of ELITRA or an ELITRA Affiliate or (b) by ELITRA or an ELITRA Affiliate on behalf of strategic or collaborative partners of ELITRA or otherwise in connection with ELITRA's drug discovery collaborations, in each case, for research and development applications in compliance with this Agreement. The Research Field of Use does not include (i) the right to sell the LifeTools-TM- Product, (ii) the sale or license of data analysis services (except as set forth in clause (b) above), or (iii) the use of LifeTools-TM- Product to develop commercial database products or services.
