Residential support definition

Residential support means arranging for or providing the necessities of life as a protective service to individuals or families who have a disability or who are experiencing a dislocation or emergency that prevents them from providing these services for themselves or their families.

Examples of Residential support in a sentence

  • Residential support facilities – comprising of facilities related to the operation of the development for residents such as laundry facilities, concierge and management facilities, maintenance/repair services, waste management facilities, etc.

  • Residential support services may also be provided in programs licensed by DSS (adult care residences) or in adult foster care homes approved by local DSS offices pursuant to state DSS regulations.

  • Natural Supports or "Natural Support System" means resources and supports (e.g. relatives, friends, neighbors, significant others, roommates, or the community) who are willing to voluntarily provide services to an individual without the expectation of compensation. Natural supports are identified in collaboration with the individual and the potential "natural support". The natural support is required to have the skills, knowledge, and ability to provide the needed services and supports.

  • Technical Support means the technical assistance for attempting resolution of a reported Case through error correction, patches, hot fixes, workarounds, replacement deliveries, or any other type of Product corrections or modifications.
