Nothing herein shall be construed as limiting the Executive’s right, if any, to terminate employment prior to the Retirement Eligibility Date and receive compensation and benefits, as applicable, provided under the respective terms of the Company’s benefit plans.
A terminated vested participant may elect early commencement of the earned retirement benefit at any time on or after the Early Retirement Eligibility Date.
If Participant’s Qualified Retirement Eligibility Date occurs on or after the Specified Date but prior to any vesting date specified in Paragraph 4(a) above, then fifty percent (50%) of each unvested Award Installment shall vest on the Participant’s Qualified Retirement Eligibility Date and the remaining fifty percent (50%) of each unvested Award Installment shall remain unvested and subject to the terms of this Agreement.
In addition, a Participant shall have a nonforfeitable interest in his or her Accrued Benefit upon reaching the Special Retirement Eligibility Date or if later, upon being credited with one (1) Vesting Year.
If a Participant incurs a Severance on account of retirement on or between the Special Retirement Eligibility Date and the Normal Retirement Date, he or she shall be entitled to a monthly pension that begins as of the first day of the month coincident with or next following his or her Severance Date which is equal to his or her Accrued Benefit.
