Extra Work means any work which is determined by City to be necessary for the proper completion of the Project, but which the Parties did not reasonably anticipate would be necessary at the execution of this Agreement. Consultant shall not perform, nor be compensated for, Extra Work without written authorization from City’s Representative.
a work means the outcome of building or civil engineering works taken as a whole which is sufficient in itself to fulfil an economic or technical function;
Shift Work is defined as the same work performed by two or more employees or two or more successive sets or groups of employees working successive periods.
Excavation work means the making of any man-made cavity, trench, pit or depression formed by cutting, digging or scooping;
Submittals means all shop drawings, diagrams, illustrations, brochures, schedules, samples, and other data which are prepared by the Contractor, a Subcontractor, manufacturer, Supplier, or distributor, which illustrate how specific portions of the Work shall be fabricated or installed.
Minimum Improvements means the acquisition of land and construction of a 152-unit market rate residential apartment building, construction of a stormwater pond and related improvements. The Minimum Improvements are more fully depicted in Exhibit B, which is attached hereto and incorporated herein.
demolition work means a method to dismantle, wreck, break, pull down or knock down of a structure or part thereof by way of manual labour, machinery, or the use of explosives;
Joint Improvements means (a) any and all Improvements to the Acceleron Technology created, conceived or reduced to practice, and, in the case of patentable Improvements, Invented, solely by Celgene, its Affiliates, agents or by Third Parties acting on their behalf, while performing activities under this Agreement; and (b) any and all Improvements to the Acceleron Technology or Joint Technology created, conceived or reduced to practice, and, in the case of patentable Improvements, Invented, jointly by Acceleron and Celgene, their respective Affiliates, agents or Sublicensees or by Third Parties acting on their behalf, while performing activities under this Agreement; provided, however, that Joint Improvements shall not include any Improvement that is a Celgene Improvement or Acceleron Improvement.
Punchlist Items means any items necessary at the time of the issuance of a temporary certificate of occupancy to complete fully the renovation of the Project Facilities in accordance with the Plans and Specifications for the Project Facilities, or required for the issuance of a final certificate of occupancy or its equivalent.
Allowable emissions means the emission rate of a stationary source calculated using both the maximum rated capacity of the source, unless the source is subject to federally enforceable limits which restrict the operating rate or hours of operation, and the most stringent of the following:
Collective Work means a work, such as a periodical issue, anthology or encyclopedia, in which the Work in its entirety in unmodified form, along with a number of other contributions, constituting separate and independent works in themselves, are assembled into a collective whole. A work that constitutes a Collective Work will not be considered a Derivative Work (as defined below) for the purposes of this License.
Returns means the amounts yielded by an investment and in particular, though not exclusively, includes profit, interest, capital gains, dividends, royalties and fees;
piece-work means any system by which earnings are calculated upon the quantity or output of work performed;
Founded Reports means the Department's Children, Adults, and Families Division or Law Enforcement Authority (LEA) determination, based on the evidence, that there is reasonable cause to believe that conduct in violation of the child abuse statutes or rules has occurred and such conduct is attributable to the person alleged to have engaged in the conduct.
Allowable Expense means a necessary, reasonable and customary item of expense for health care, which is:
The Work means the work or works to be executed or done under this contract.
Maximum design heat input means the ability of a unit to combust a stated maximum amount of fuel per hour on a steady state basis, as determined by the physical design and physical characteristics of the unit.
Change Orders mean changes or modifications to any Construction Contract or any other contract with labor or material suppliers.
Tax Returns means any and all reports, returns, declarations, claims for refund, elections, disclosures, estimates, information reports or returns or statements required to be supplied to a taxing authority in connection with Taxes, including any schedule or attachment thereto or amendment thereof.
Tenant Improvements Defined in Exhibit B, if any.
audiovisual work means a work that consists of a series of related images which impart the impression of motion, with or without accompanying sounds, susceptible of being made visible and, where accompanied by sounds, susceptible of being made audible;
Demolition works means any physical activity to tear down or break up a structure (or part thereof) or surface, or the like, and includes the loading of demolition waste and the unloading of plant or machinery.
Changes/Extra Work The SUBRECIPIENT shall make no changes to this CONTRACT without the COUNTY’s written consent. In the event that there are new or unforeseen requirements, the COUNTY with the SUBRECIPIENT’s concurrence has the discretion to request official changes at any time without changing the intent of this CONTRACT.
Work means all Services to be performed, goods to be delivered, and any appurtenant actions performed, and items produced, conceived, or developed, including Deliverables.
Project Improvements means site improvements and facilities that are:
Tests on Completion means the tests which are specified in the Contract or agreed by both Parties or instructed as a Variation, and which are carried out under Clause 9 [Tests on Completion] before the Works or a Section (as the case may be) are taken over by the Procuring Entity.
