As required by the World Bank and Asian Development Bank Safeguards Policies, public consultations were undertaken during the preparation of EMP.

Legal and Regulatory Framework: This Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) is developed in line with relevant national laws of Dominica, Grenada, Saint Lucia and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and regulations and relevant World Bank Safeguards Policies.
This ESMF is developed based on the Indonesian laws and regulations, PT SMI’s Environmental and Social Safeguards principles, and the international standards including the triggered World Bank Safeguards Policies.
The ESMF ensures that the identified subprojects are correctly assessed from environmental and social perspective to meet WB’s Safeguards Policies alongside with Uzbekstan’s Environmental and Social Laws and Regulations for adequate mitigation residual and unavoidable impacts (if any).
The Environment and Social Management Process takes into account the relevant laws and policies of RMI and the World Bank Safeguards Policies.
