On August 15, 2005, ETASC issued $318,834,680 in tobacco settlement asset-backed bonds (Series 2005A, E) and capital appreciation bonds (“CABs”) (Series 2005B, C, D), with interest rates ranging from 5.00% to 6.75% to advance refund $239,060,000 of outstanding Series 2000 Bonds bearing interest rates ranging from 5.0% to 6.5% originally issued in 2000.
The net proceeds of the Series 2000 Bonds were used to purchase from the County all of the County’s right, title, and interest to TSR to which the County would otherwise be entitled under the MSA and the Decree.
