Serious and Significant Incident definition

Serious and Significant Incident means any of the following serious and significant incidents (but not limited to): (a) death of a Young Person in custody; (b) serious injury; (c) sexual assault; (d) hostage situation; (e) bomb threat; (f) firearm possession; (g) food refusal (if life threatening); (h) deliberate self harm; (i) outbreak of infectious disease; (j) death of another person (e.g staff member); (k) fire; (l) concerted indiscipline; (m) unlawfully at large Young Person; (n) recapture/surrender of an unlawfully at large Young Person;

Examples of Serious and Significant Incident in a sentence

  • If a young person dies, becomes seriously ill or sustains any serious injury, then secure training centres must comply with a Serious and Significant Incident Reporting Protocol.

  • The Contractor shall investigate any Serious and Significant Incident involving death or suicide and shall provide the details of such investigation to the Authority.

  • Serious Breach means any breach defined as a Serious Breach in the Agreement or any breach or breaches which adversely, materially or substantially affect the performance or delivery of the Services or compliance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement or the provision of a safe, healthy and supportive learning environment or a breach of security that adversely affects the Personal Data or privacy of an individual. Failure to comply with Law, or actions or omissions by the Provider that endanger the Health or Safety of Learners, Provider Personnel, and all other persons including members of the public would constitute a Serious Breach;

  • Serious damage ’ means any specific defect defined in this section; or an equally objectionable variation of any one of these defects, any other defect, or any combination of defects which se- riously detracts from the appearance, or the edible or marketing quality of the fruit. The following specific defects shall be considered as serious damage:

  • Serious physical injury means physical injury which creates a substantial risk of death or which causes serious and prolonged disfigurement, prolonged impairment of health, or prolonged loss or impairment of the function of any bodily member or organ;

  • Mental or Nervous Disorder means any disease or condition, regardless of whether the cause is organic, that is classified as a Mental or Nervous Disorder in the current edition of International Classification of Diseases, published by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, is listed in the current edition of Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, published by the American Psychiatric Association or other relevant State guideline or applicable sources.
