Financial responsibility means the ability to respond in damages for liability thereafter incurred
parental responsibility , in relation to a child, means all the duties, powers, responsibilities and authority which, by law, parents have in relation to children.
Corporate Social Responsibility means Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as defined in Section 135 of the Companies Act, 2013 and Companies Corporate Social Responsibility Policy) Rules, 2014;
Official responsibility means administrative or operating authority, whether intermediate or final, to initiate, approve, disapprove or otherwise affect a procurement transaction, or any claim resulting therefrom.
Institutional Responsibilities means an Investigator’s professional responsibilities on behalf of the University, which may include for example: activities such as research, research consultation, teaching, professional practice, University committee memberships, and service on panels such as Institutional Review Boards or data and safety monitoring boards.
Proof of financial responsibility means proof of ability to respond in damages for liability, on account of accidents occurring after the effective date of the proof, arising out of the ownership, maintenance, or use of a motor vehicle, in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars because of bodily injury to or death of one person in any one accident, and, subject to the limit for one person, in the amount of fifty thousand dollars because of bodily injury to or death of two or more persons in any one accident, and in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars because of injury to or destruction of property of others in any one accident.
Remedial response means a measure to stop and correct prohibited conduct, prevent prohibited conduct from recurring, and protect, support, and intervene on behalf of a student who is the target or victim of prohibited conduct.
Initial Response means the first contact by a Support Representative after the incident has been logged and a ticket generated. This may include an automated email response depending on when the incident is first communicated.

Access Compensation is the compensation paid by one Party to the other Party for the origination/termination of intraLATA toll calls to/from its End User. Access compensation is in accordance with the LEC’s tariffed access rates.
Utility Allowance means a monthly allowance, as provided by the local public housing authority or as otherwise allowed by HUD rules and the GLO rules, for utilities and services (excluding telephone services) to be paid by the tenant.
Emergency Response Plan means the plan constituting the set of procedures developed by the Owner for dealing with an Incident which may impact on the Network or Connecting Infrastructure, including all actions to be taken to minimise or alleviate any threat or danger to any person or property:
Emergency medical responder or “EMR” means an individual who has successfully completed a course of study based on the United States Department of Transportation’s Emergency Medical Responder Instructional Guidelines (January 2009), has passed the psychomotor and cognitive examinations for the EMR, and is currently certified by the department as an EMR.
NOx Allowance means an authorization to emit a specified amount of NOx that is allocated or issued under an emissions trading or marketable permit program of any kind that has been established under the Clean Air Act or a state implementation plan.
Emergency responder means an individual who is required to possess a license, certificate, permit, or other official recognition for his or her expertise in a particular field or area of knowledge and whose assistance is utilized or is desirable during an emergency. Emergency responder includes, but is not limited to, emergency medical services personnel; physicians; nurses; mental health, veterinary, or other public health practitioners; emergency management personnel; public works personnel; and firefighters, including firefighters trained in the areas of hazardous materials, specialized rescue, extrication, water rescue, or other specialized area. Emergency responder does not include law enforcement officers or other law enforcement personnel.
Area of responsibility means the geographical area, as
the Contributions and Benefits Act means the Social Security Contributions and Benefits Act 1992;
Section 415 Compensation means with respect to any Plan Year and shall:
(a) include amounts accrued to a Participant (regardless of whether he was a Participant during the entire Plan Year and regardless of whether in cash):
(i) as wages, salaries, fees for professional services and other amounts received for personal services actually rendered in the course of his employment with the Companies including but not limited to commissions, compensation for services on the basis of a percentage of profits and bonuses;
(ii) for purposes of Subsection (a)(i) above, earned income from sources outside the United States (as defined in Section 911(b) of the Code), whether or not excludible from gross income under Section 911 of the Code or deductible under Section 913 of the Code;
(iii) amounts described in Sections 104(a)(3), 105(a) and 115(h) of the Code but only to the extent that these amounts are includible in the gross income of that Participant; and
(iv) amounts paid or reimbursed by the Companies for moving expenses incurred by that Participant, but only to the extent that these amounts are not deductible by that Participant under Section 217 of the Code;
(b) not include:
(i) notwithstanding Subsection (a)(i) above, there shall be excluded from Section 415 Compensation amounts contributed to a plan as contributions to a qualified cash or deferred plan under Section 401(k) of the Code;
(ii) other contributions made by a Company to any plan of deferred compensation to the extent that, before the application of the Section 415 of the Code limitations to that plan, the contributions are not includible in the gross income of that Participant for the taxable year in which contributed; in addition, Company contributions made on behalf of that Participant to a simplified employee pension plan described in Section 408(k) of the Code shall not be considered as Section 415 Compensation for the Plan Year in which contributed; additionally, any distributions from a plan of deferred compensation shall not be considered as Section 415 Compensation, regardless of whether such amounts are includible in the gross income of that Participant when distributed; however, any amounts received by that Participant pursuant to an unfunded nonqualified plan shall be considered as Section 415 Compensation in the Plan Year in which such amounts are includible in the gross income of that Participant; and
(iii) other amounts which receive special federal income tax benefits, such as premiums for group term life insurance (but only to the extent that the premiums are not includible in the gross income of that Participant); provided, however, that Section 415 Compensation in a Plan Year in excess of one hundred and fifty thousand ($150,000), as adjusted pursuant to Section 401(a)(17) of the Code, shall be disregarded. Notwithstanding anything in this Section 1.36 to the contrary, for Plan Years beginning on or after January 1, 1998, Section 415 Compensation shall include any elective deferral (as defined in Section 402(g) of the Code) and any amount contributed or deferred at the election of the Participant that is not includible in that Participant's gross income by reason of Section 125 or Section 457 of the Code.
PHARMACY ALLOWANCE means the lower of:
Basic health benefit plan means any plan offered to an individual, a small group,
Pension Benefits Act means The Pension Benefits Act of Ontario and regulations thereunder as amended from time to time.
Annual Special Tax means the Special Tax actually levied in any Fiscal Year on any Assessor’s Parcel.
Emergency Maintenance means any period of maintenance for which, due to reasons beyond its reasonable control, Sprint Convergence is unable to provide prior notice of.
Includible Compensation means an Employee’s actual wages in box 1 of Form W-2 for a year for services to the Employer, but subject to a maximum of $245,000 (or such higher maximum as may apply under section 401(a)(17) of the Code) and increased (up to the dollar maximum) by any compensation reduction election under section 125, 132(f), 401(k), 403(b), or 457(b) of the Code (including any Elective Deferral under the Plan). Beginning in 2009 and thereafter, such term also includes any “differential pay” that may be received from the Employer while performing qualified military service under section 414(u) of the Code. The amount of Includible Compensation is determined without regard to any community property laws.
Additional Compensation has the meaning set out in Section 13.3(1).
