Examples of Staff privileges in a sentence
Except as otherwise provided in ARTICLE VI, decisions of individuals or groups which deal with Medical Staff privileges, access to Hospital resources or departmental or Hospital policies may be appealed only after efforts to resolve disputes at lower levels have been exhausted.
The Medical Staff through its designated committees and departments shall investigate and consider each application for appointment or reappointment to the staff and each request for modification of staff membership status and shall adopt and transmit recommendations thereon to the Board which shall be the final authority on granting, extending, terminating or reducing Medical Staff privileges.
Staff privileges (full, courtesy, consulting, etc.) in all areas and specialties are granted, maintained, upgraded and withdrawn in a nondiscriminatory manner, and standards for professional qualification are applied uniformly without regard to race, color, or national origin.
All PHSOR facilities, services and programs, Providence employees, and practitioners and other clinicians who are members of the Professional Staff and/or who otherwise have Professional Staff privileges at Hospitals’ facilities, services or programs have been invited to participate in the Providence OHCA.
A Medical Staff Member may, either in connection with reappointment or at any other time, request modification of his/her Medical Staff privileges by submitting a written request to the Medical Director and/or Credentials Committee.
It should be noted that no automatic resignation or termination of Medical and Dental Staff privileges, as noted in this section entitle the affected practitioner to due process, appeals or other right to hearings under these Bylaws, normally afforded practitioners whose medical staff privileges are diminished, suspended or terminated.
For the definitional purpose of this section, an adverse action is any change, restriction, amendment, limitation, suspension or termination of a Practitioner’s Medical Staff privileges.
In the event of a disaster of sufficient magnitude to require use of resources beyond those available to the Hospital and Medical Staff, privileges may be granted to volunteers on an emergent basis to handle immediate patient care needs.
Medical Staff privileges can be exercised in those areas that the Children’s Hospital has designated as being appropriately equipped and staffed.
Except as otherwise provided in these Bylaws, Medical Staff privileges may be granted, continued, modified or terminated by the Board only upon recommendation of the Medical Staff, only for reasons directly related to quality of patient care and other provisions of the Medical Staff Bylaws, and only following the procedures outlined in these Bylaws.
