More Definitions of Temporary Staff

Temporary Staff means an employee engaged to meet a temporary labour demand caused by illness, maternity leave or other leave of absence for not more than a total of eight (8) months in any fiscal year (April 1 to March 31), or in accordance with the Ontario Employment Standards Act. Temporary staff shall be covered by the terms of the Collective Agreement except that temporary staff shall not be covered by the benefit package available to permanent staff nor shall they accumulate seniority. Should a temporary staff person become a permanent staff person, their seniority shall date from the first date of hire.

Periodic Statement Requirement: SUPPLIER shall send periodic statements listing all rebates, credits, or incentives earned, used or on account for the UNIVERSITY. Statements shall include department name and purchase order number, etc. Statements should be mailed to the UNIVERSITY address as specified on the order.
