Supervising Adult definition

Supervising Adult means: (1) A member of the Contractor’s personnel (Board member, staff person, volunteer, or intern) who is present at all times when students are served in a group setting within the community or at the Contractor’s facility to facilitate active student engagement and ensure student safety; and (2) A member of the Contractor’s personnel (Board member, staff person, volunteer, or intern) who is present at all times when students are served in a group setting on school premises to facilitate active student engagement and ensure student safety; this may be in combination with school personnel (teacher or teacher’s aide) who is also present at all times.
Supervising Adult. – means an adult or adults who accompany any child or children to any of our Sites.
Supervising Adult means an adult in a parental relationship as that term is defined in ORS Chapter 339.

  • Full legal responsibility for any child or children in Your group lies with the Supervising Adult.

  • Any Minor using these facilities must be accompanied at all times by a Supervising Adult.

  • The College will require any Minor and Supervising Adult who is causing a disturbance on Campus or who is in violation of this Policy to leave the Campus immediately.

  • For the avoidance of doubt, a Supervising Adult can also be a Participating Adult.

  • Because between 31 to 40 minors are participating in the Activity, at least 4 adults (made up of a Supervising Adult or Adult Leader and 3 chaperones) must accompany the team on the bus and during the entire event.


More Definitions of Supervising Adult

Supervising Adult of a child or children means a responsible adult i.e., an accompanying parent or caregiver, relative, family friend, carer, teacher, group or tour leader, and/or any adult acting as “parentis in loci”. For example, this could be a teacher leading a trip and remaining with a group, or an Experience Wellington staff member or contractor during a holiday programme where children are left by caregivers.
