TAFE Year definition

TAFE Year means a period of 50 weeks, excluding the two week period surrounding Christmas/New Year, during which educational programs may be conducted.

Examples of TAFE Year in a sentence

  • Those Teachers whose classes finish prior to the end of the TAFE Year, semester or term due to final examination shall continue to perform other duties.

  • The TAFE Year provisions shall apply to Teachers who are required to attend the workplace for student selection, programming, enrolment and other duties which can only be done outside the Standard Educational Year and which are essential to the functioning of the section.

  • Teachers who work up to three days in one block outside the Standard Educational Year may elect, once per TAFE Year, to be paid for this work in lieu of taking agreed non- attendance.

  • Teachers working TAFE Year programs shall undertake teaching duties for 36 weeks, non- teaching duties for five weeks and are to receive the same number of public holidays, annual leave, and agreed non-attendance days in the TAFE Year as Teachers who are working the Standard Educational Year.

  • If agreement cannot be reached after reasonable consultation, the Manager may direct that the Teacher ensure deferred annual leave and agreed non-attendance weeks are built into a Teacher’s TAFE Year approved program.

  • Teachers may only attend one additional week per TAFE Year, whether the provisions of the said clause27, TAFE Year, or this clause are applied.

  • Agreed non-attendance is to be cleared within twelve months of the conclusion of the TAFE Year and cannot be accumulated and carried over into subsequent years, unless it is agreed in writing between the Regional General Manager (or Nominee) and the Teacher.

  • Where Teachers volunteer to undertake duties in the vacation period, then either the provisions of clause27, TAFE Year or the provisions of this clause shall apply.

  • Teachers, in consultation with their immediate manager, should consider the provisions of clause27, TAFE Year, and this clause.

  • Where Teachers are directed to undertake duties in a vacation period, after the provisions of subclause27.6 of clause 27, TAFE Year have been followed, then only the provisions of clause 27, TAFE Year shall apply.

  • Income year means any year or accounting period beginning 1 July of one calendar year and ending 30 June of the following calendar year or any other period that the Trustees by resolution adopt;

  • Three-Year Period means, with respect to a Restatement, the three completed fiscal years immediately preceding the date that the Board, a committee of the Board, or the officer or officers of the Company authorized to take such action if Board action is not required, concludes, or reasonably should have concluded, that the Company is required to prepare such Restatement, or, if earlier, the date on which a court, regulator or other legally authorized body directs the Company to prepare such Restatement. The “Three-Year Period” also includes any transition period (that results from a change in the Company’s fiscal year) within or immediately following the three completed fiscal years identified in the preceding sentence. However, a transition period between the last day of the Company’s previous fiscal year end and the first day of its new fiscal year that comprises a period of nine to 12 months shall be deemed a completed fiscal year.

  • Benefit year means the period of twelve consecutive months, July 1 through June 30, as established by an employer in which an employee shall accrue and use earned sick leave as provided pursuant to N.J.S.A. 34:11D-2, provided that once the starting date of the benefit year is established by the employer it shall not be changed unless the employer notifies the Commissioner of Labor and Workforce Development of the change in accordance with regulations promulgated pursuant to the Act. The Commissioner shall impose a benefit year on any employer the Commissioner determines is changing the benefit year at times or in ways that prevent the accrual or use of earned sick leave by an employee.

  • Term Year means a 12-month period beginning on the first day of the Term and each successive 12-month period thereafter.

  • Gas Year means the period of 365 or 366 Gas Days, as the case may be, beginning at October 1st at 06:00 hours (Belgian time) and ending at September 30th 06:00 hours (Belgian time) of the next year.
