Technical Consultations. If a Party has a significant concern with respect to food safety, plant health, or animal health, or an SPS measure that the other Party has proposed or implemented, that Party may request technical consultations with the other Party. The Party that is the subject of the request should respond to the request without undue delay. Each Party shall endeavour to provide the information necessary to avoid a disruption to trade and, as the case may be, to reach a mutually acceptable solution.

Technical Consultations. 1. Where a Party considers that a relevant technical regulation or conformity assessment procedure of the other Party has constituted unnecessary obstacles to its exports, it may request technical consultations. The requested Party shall respond as early as possible to such a request. 2. The requested Party shall enter into technical consultations within a period mutually agreed, with a view to reaching a solution. Technical consultations may be conducted via any means mutually agreed by the Parties.
Technical Consultations. The Technical Agents agree to resolve issues associated with implementation of this Annex through consultation. The Technical Agents shall make every effort to resolve issues at the lowest possible technical level using the process outlined in the technical implementation procedures before elevating the issue to the Bilateral Oversight Board.

A Party may initiate consultations with the other Party if uncertainty arises with regard to the application or interpretation of the content of a sanitary or phytosanitary measure under this Chapter. 2. Where a Party requests consultations and so notifies the Committee, the Committee shall facilitate consultations, and may refer the matter at issue to an ad hoc working group or another forum, for providing non-binding technical assistance or recommendations to the Parties.

Unless the Parties mutually determine otherwise, the Parties shall hold technical consultations within a reasonable period of time from the request for technical consultations by email, teleconference, video-conference, or through any other means, as mutually determined by the Parties. The Parties shall, from time to time, stipulate in writing the length of time that they consider to be reasonable. 3. If a Party considers it necessary, it may request that the Committee facilitate such technical consultations. 4. Such technical consultations are without prejudice to the rights and obligations of the Parties under Chapter 15 (Dispute Settlement).
Technical Consultations. 1. The technical agents shall address issues concerning the implementation of this Annex through consultations. 2. If a mutually acceptable solution is not reached through the consultations held in accordance with paragraph 1 of this Article, the technical agent of each Party may refer the issue referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article to the Certification Oversight Board. 3. If the issue is not resolved by the Certification Oversight Board, each Party may refer the issue referred to in paragraph 1 of this Article to the Joint Committee established by Article 11 of this Agreement.

The Committee shall facilitate the consultations, and if necessary, forward to an ad-hoc working group for technical recommendations. 4. When the Parties have resorted to consultations, in accordance with this Article, without satisfactory results, these consultations shall constitute those foreseen in Article 18.05 (Consultations), if the Parties so agree.

Either Party may request technical consultations in accordance with Article 100.2(f) and unless the Parties mutually determine otherwise, the Parties shall hold technical consultations within 60 days from the request for technical consultations by email, teleconference, video-conference, or through any other means, as mutually determined by the Parties. 2. Where either Party has requested technical consultations on the application of any technical regulation or the recognition of any standard or conformity assessment procedure, the other Party shall investigate the issues that gave rise to the request for consultations, shall address any irregularities in the implementation of its technical regulations or conformity assessment procedures, and shall report back to the other Party on the outcome of its investigations, stating its reasons. 3. Technical consultations held pursuant to this Article are without prejudice to the rights and obligations of the Parties under Chapter 16 (Dispute Settlement).
