Teen parent definition

Teen parent means, for TANF and JOBS, a parent under the age of 20 who has not completed a high school diploma or GED.
Teen parent means a biological parent under the age of 20 who is attending high school, working towards a general equivalency diploma (GED) or attending any other job skills training or educational programs directly related to enhancing employment opportunities.
Teen parent means a parent under twenty-one (21) years of age who has physical custody of his/her child(ren) for the period that care is requested and is in an eligible activity, such as attending junior high/middle school, high school, GED program, vocational/technical training activity, employment or job search.

Teen parent means, in the JOBS, REF, REFM, and TANF programs, a parent who is the age of 18 or 19.¶
