Temporary substitute car definition

Temporary substitute car means any car which is used as a substitute for your insured car while your insured car is withdrawn from normal use because of its breakdown, repair, servicing, loss, or destruction or any lack of availability for use.
Temporary substitute car means a car being temporarily used by you, a relative or a resident with express permission of the titled owner of the car while your insured car is being serviced, or repaired, or if your insured car is stolen or destroyed. A temporary substitute car cannot be owned by, or available for regular use by you, a relative, a resident or any other person residing in your household.
Temporary substitute car means a car not owned by you or your spouse, or any family member and not available for the regular use of you, your spouse or a family member, if it replaces your car for a short time. Its use has to be with the permission of the owner. Your car has to be out of use due to its breakdown, repair, servicing, damage or loss. A temporary substitute car does not include a motorcycle. A car with a gross vehicle weight in excess of 12,000 pounds is not a temporary substitute car. A temporary substitute car is not considered a non-owned car.
