Transmission System Elective Capital Additions definition

Transmission System Elective Capital Additions means additions, betterments, and replacements by Transmission Owners to the Transmission System that are made pursuant to this Agreement and are not Transmission System Capital Additions; provided, however, the construction of a new transmission line in response to a transmission service request or a generation interconnection or transmission-to-transmission interconnection request is specifically excluded from “Transmission System Elective Capital Additions.”

Transmission System Elective Capital Additions means additions, betterments, and replacements by Transmission Owners to the Transmission System that are made pursuant to this Agreement and are not Transmission System Capital Additions; provided, however, the construction of a new transmission line in response to a transmission service request or a generation interconnection or transmission-to-transmission interconnection request is specifically excluded from “Transmission System Elective Capital Additions.” - 5 - (w) “Transmission System Surplus Capacity” means the capacity of the Transmission System that is excess to Requirements Capacity, determined in accordance with Section 7(c).

  • Transmission System Elective Capital Additions shall be so installed and operated as not to burden or unreasonably interfere with the facilities of the other Transmission Owners or the Transmission System, the construction on the Transmission System lands of additional Transmission System facilities, or the ultimate full utilization of the land for the Transmission System.

  • Each Transmission Owner may undertake Transmission System Elective Capital Additions in accordance with the provisions set forth in Section 22(j).

  • All Transmission Owners shall share the costs of Transmission System Elective Capital Additions study work requested and approved by the Transmission Committee by a vote of Transmission Committee members representing at least 85% of the total Requirements Shares of each Segment to which said addition is made.

  • All other study costs shall be borne by the Transmission Owners that proposed the Transmission System Elective Capital Additions.

Related to Transmission System Elective Capital Additions

  • Intra-State Transmission System means any system for transmission of electricity other than an Inter-State Transmission System;

  • Transmission System Code means the code, approved by the Board, that is in force at the relevant time, which regulates the financial and information obligations of the Transmitter with respect to its relationship with customers, as well as establishing the standards for connection of customers to, and expansion of a transmission system;

  • Rechargeable Electrical Energy Storage System (REESS) means the rechargeable energy storage system that provides electric energy for electrical propulsion.

  • Transmission System means the facilities controlled or operated by the Transmission Provider within the PJM Region that are used to provide transmission service under Tariff, Part II and Part III.

  • Generation Interconnection Facilities Study means a Facilities Study related to a Generation Interconnection Request.

  • Transmission System Operator means a natural or legal person responsible for operating, ensuring the maintenance of and, if necessary, developing the transmission system in a given area and, where applicable, its interconnections with other systems, and for ensuring the long-term ability of the system to meet reasonable demands for the transmission of electricity;

  • Combined sewer system means a system for conveying both sanitary sewage and storm water runoff.

  • Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities means all Interconnection Facilities that are not Customer Interconnection Facilities and that, after the transfer under Tariff, Attachment P, Appendix 2, section 5.5 to the Interconnected Transmission Owner of title to any Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities that the Interconnection Customer constructed, are owned, controlled, operated and maintained by the Interconnected Transmission Owner on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System or interconnected distribution facilities. The “Transmission Provider” shall be the Office of the Interconnection for all purposes, provided that the Transmission Owners will have the responsibility for the following specified activities:

  • 911 system means the set of network, database and customer premise equipment (CPE) components required to provide 911 service.

  • Building Energy Benchmarking means the process of measuring a building’s Energy use, tracking that use over time, and comparing performance to similar buildings.

  • Electronic toll collection system means a system of collecting tolls or charges which is capable of charging an account holder the appropriate toll or charge by transmission of information from an electronic device on a motor vehicle to the toll lane, which information is used to charge the account the appropriate toll or charge.

  • public service infrastructure means publicly controlled infrastructure of the following kinds:

  • Office of the Interconnection Control Center means the equipment, facilities and personnel used by the Office of the Interconnection to coordinate and direct the operation of the PJM Region and to administer the PJM Interchange Energy Market, including facilities and equipment used to communicate and coordinate with the Market Participants in connection with transactions in the PJM Interchange Energy Market or the operation of the PJM Region.

  • Generator Planned Outage means the scheduled removal from service, in whole or in part, of a generating unit for inspection, maintenance or repair with the approval of the Office of the Interconnection in accordance with the PJM Manuals.

  • Underground storage tank system means an underground storage tank and the connected underground piping, underground ancillary equipment, and containment system, if any.

  • Centralized Message Distribution System (CMDS) means the industry-wide data collection system, which handles the daily exchange of message details between CMDS participating telephone companies (also known as CMDS Direct Participants). AT&T-21STATE is a CMDS Direct Participant.

  • Electric System Upgrades means any Network Upgrades, Distribution Upgrades, or Interconnection Facilities that are determined to be necessary by the CAISO or Participating Transmission Owner, as applicable, to physically and electrically interconnect the Project to the Participating Transmission Owner’s electric system for receipt of Energy at the Point of Interconnection (as defined in the CAISO Tariff) if connecting to the CAISO Grid, or the Interconnection Point, if connecting to a part of the Participating TO’s electric system that is not part of the CAISO Grid.

  • Electrical equipment means underground equipment that contains dielectric fluid that is necessary for the operation of equipment such as transformers and buried electrical cable.

  • Electrical work Means any labor or material used in installing, altering, maintaining, or extending an electrical wiring system and the appurtenances, apparatus, or equipment used in connection with the use of electrical energy in, on, outside, or attached to a building, residence, structure, property, or premises. The term includes service entrance conductors as defined by the National Electrical Code.

  • Interconnection Activation Date means the date that the construction of the joint facility Interconnection arrangement has been completed, trunk groups have been established, joint trunk testing is completed and trunks have been mutually accepted by the Parties.

  • Customer Interconnection Facilities means all facilities and equipment owned and/or controlled, operated and maintained by Interconnection Customer on Interconnection Customer’s side of the Point of Interconnection identified in the appropriate appendices to the Interconnection Service Agreement and to the Interconnection Construction Service Agreement, including any modifications, additions, or upgrades made to such facilities and equipment, that are necessary to physically and electrically interconnect the Customer Facility with the Transmission System.

  • PV System means a residentially hosted roof-top solar electric generating system, including photovoltaic panels, racks, wiring and other electrical devices, conduits, weatherproof housings, hardware, one or more inverters, remote monitoring systems, connectors, meters, disconnects and over current devices.

  • Unfit-for-use tank system means a tank system that has been determined through an integrity assessment or other inspection to be no longer capable of storing or treating hazardous waste without posing a threat of release of hazardous waste to the environment.

  • Levee system means a flood protection system which consists of a levee, or levees, and associated structures, such as closure and drainage devices, which are constructed and operated in accordance with sound engineering practices.

  • Slug loading means any pollutant, including oxygen demanding pollutants, released in a discharge at a flow rate and/or pollutant concentration as to cause interference in the POTW.

  • Transmission Owner Attachment Facilities means that portion of the Transmission Owner Interconnection Facilities comprised of all Attachment Facilities on the Interconnected Transmission Owner’s side of the Point of Interconnection.
