Utility definition

Utility means the Project if the Project is or upon completion of construction of the Project, will be a facility which generates revenues from fees, charges or taxes associated with the use of the facility.
Utility means an entity that distributes and sells Energy to Covered Municipal Buildings.
Utility means a person who owns or operates for public use any plant, equipment, property, franchise, or license for the transmission of communications or the production, storage, transmission, sale, delivery, or furnishing of electricity, water, steam, or gas.

Examples of Utility in a sentence

  • If required by Good Utility Practice or Applicable Reliability Standards to do so, the NYISO or Connecting Transmission Owner may require Developer to interrupt or reduce production of electricity if such production of electricity could adversely affect the ability of NYISO and Connecting Transmission Owner to perform such activities as are necessary to safely and reliably operate and maintain the New York State Transmission System.
