Vice Provost for Research definition

Vice Provost for Research means the University’s Vice Provost for Research. If there is a vacancy at any time in the position of Vice Provost for Research, the University’s Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs or designee will assume the responsibilities assigned to the Vice Provost for Research under this Policy. Similarly, if there is a vacancy at any time in the position of Associate University Provost for Research Administration and Compliance, the Vice Provost for Research or designee will assume the responsibilities assigned to the Associate University Provost for Research Administration and Compliance under this Policy.
Vice Provost for Research means the University’s Vice Provost for Research.   • Collaboration Technology means all Collaboration Patents and Collaboration Know-How.

  • Residential Development means lands, buildings or structures developed or to be developed for residential use;

Research and development does not include the internal or external administration of radiation or radioactive material to human beings.

  • Substantial development means any development of which the total cost or fair market value exceeds two thousand five hundred dollars, or any development which materially interferes with the normal public use of the water or shorelines of the state; except that the following shall not be considered substantial developments for the purpose of this chapter:

  • Surgery or Surgical Procedure means manual and / or operative procedure (s) required for treatment of an illness or injury, correction of deformities and defects, diagnosis and cure of diseases, relief from suffering and prolongation of life, performed in a hospital or day care centre by a medical practitioner.
