Video On Demand Service definition

Video On Demand Service means any Channel 4-branded VOD Service provided by Channel 4 and/or its authorised distributor(s) (but excluding the Producer) and offering a range of programmes without limitation (i) via the Internet (intended primarily for viewing on personal computers) and (ii) via cable and DSL Distribution Systems (intended primarily for viewing on televisions) to the public in the Territory in accordance with 23(b).
Video On Demand Service means a service that allows a person to receive programs at times of his or her choosing.
Video On Demand Service. (“VOD Service”) - a video-on-demand service which enables the download of paid or free downloadable media content, delivered via the Websites and/or the Social Television Channel on a pay-per-view (PPV) or rental, subscription and/or paid or free ad-supported download basis.

  • Regulatory Information Service means a service approved by the London Stock Exchange for the distribution to the public of announcements; and

  • payment initiation service means a service to initiate a payment order at the request of the payment service user with respect to a payment account held at another payment service provider;

  • Self-service display means the open display or storage of Tobacco Products or Tobacco Paraphernalia in a manner that is physically accessible in any way to the general public without the assistance of the retailer or employee of the retailer and a direct person-to-person transfer between the purchaser and the retailer or employee of the retailer. A vending machine is a form of Self-Service Display.

  • Launch Date has the meaning specified therefor in Section 2.02(b) of this Agreement.

  • Internet service means a service that enables users to access proprietary and other content,

  • public telecommunications service means the transmission by electromagnetic or other means, other than by a telephone company as defined in section 4927.01 of the Revised Code, of signs, signals, writings, images, sounds, messages, or data originating in this state regardless of actual call routing. "Public telecommunications service" excludes a system, including its construction, maintenance, or operation, for the provision of telecommunications service, or any portion of such service, by any entity for the sole and exclusive use of that entity, its parent, a subsidiary, or an affiliated entity, and not for resale, directly or indirectly; the provision of terminal equipment used to originate telecommunications service; broadcast transmission by radio, television, or satellite broadcast stations regulated by the federal government; or cable television service.

  • Private communication service means a telecommunication service that entitles the customer to exclusive or priority use of a communications channel or group of channels between or among termination points, regardless of the manner in which such channel or channels are connected, and includes switching capacity, extension lines, stations, and any other associated services that are provided in connection with the use of such channel or channels.

  • broadcasting service means a radiocommunication service in which the transmissions are intended for direct reception by the general public. This service may include sound transmissions, television transmissions or other types of transmission.

  • Broadband Services means Verizon's Fios or DSL-based Internet services (whichever applies). Verizon's DSL-based Internet service is also known as "High Speed Internet" ("HSI").
