Workplace Safety violation definition

Workplace Safety violation means the violation of any standard established or adopted under Wis. Admin. Code Chapter Comm 32.

Examples of Workplace Safety violation in a sentence

  • The County bears the burden of proving by a preponderance of the evidence that the condition identified by the Employee does not constitute a Workplace Safety violation and that no corrective action is required.

  • If the grievance is sustained, the Impartial Hearing Officer may order the County take corrective action in accordance with law to address the Workplace Safety violation.

  • The selection of an Impartial Hearing Officer and hearing on a Workplace Safety violation shall be conducted in accordance with the Hearing Procedure in section 1.03(D) above.

  • Workplace safety means those conditions related to physical health and safety of employees enforceable under federal or state law, or District rule related to: safety of the physical work environment, the safe operation of workplace equipment and tools, provision of protective equipment, training and warning requirements, workplace violence and accident risk.

  • Workplace means a place at which, on an average, twenty or more workers are employed.

  • Environmental and Safety Laws means any federal, state or local laws, ordinances, codes, regulations, rules, policies and orders that are intended to assure the protection of the environment, or that classify, regulate, call for the remediation of, require reporting with respect to, or list or define air, water, groundwater, solid waste, hazardous or toxic substances, materials, wastes, pollutants or contaminants, or which are intended to assure the safety of employees, workers or other persons, including the public.

  • Imminent danger to the health and safety of the public means the existence of any condition or practice, or any violation of a permit or other requirement of this article, in a surface coal mining and reclamation operation which could reasonably be expected to cause substantial physical harm to persons outside the permit area before such condition, practice, or violation can be abated. A reasonable expectation of death or serious injury before abatement exists if a rational person, subjected to the same conditions, or practices giving rise to the peril, would not expose himself to the danger during the time necessary for abatement.
