A Total Work Days. The regular school year for classroom teachers shall consist of a total of one hundred eighty-three (183) workdays. One day prior to the start of school shall be a non-student work day for classroom preparation and administrative meeting time (such as Staff Meetings, Department Head meetings, Department meetings, Grade level meetings, New Teacher meetings, etc.) shall be kept to a minimum, not to exceed three (3) hours total. 6.1.1. A.1 All classroom teachers shall be required to be present as assigned by the District on each workday during the regular school year, unless otherwise excused. 6.1.1. A.2 Of the total one hundred eighty-three (183) workdays during the regular school year, there shall be a total of one hundred eighty (180) teaching workdays. Of the remaining three (3) days, two (2) shall be considered non-teaching workdays, and one shall be a mandatory District-scheduled staff development day. The District will consult with CUTA before scheduling the before-school Staff Development day. The District may schedule up to four (4) District-wide meetings each year. None of these District-wide meetings shall go beyond 5:00 p.m. Starting with the 2014/15 school year, for before-school staff development day and for District-wide staff development days, the District will seek input from CUTA members to plan the topics to be covered. Related to A Total Work Days

  • Work Days The work day shall consist of an assigned shift within twenty-four (24) consecutive hours commencing at 12:01 a.m.

  • Work Day The standard work day shall be eight (8) consecutive hours of work exclusive of a lunch period in a consecutive twenty-four (24) hour day.

  • Normal Work Day The normal work day shall be eight (8) hours and the normal work week shall be forty (40) hours, Monday through Friday, provided however that nothing herein shall be construed as guaranteeing any EMPLOYEE eight (8) hours of work per day or forty (40) hours per week. A single shift shall consist of eight (8) hours of continuous employment, except for unpaid lunch period, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Week The work week will begin at 12:00 a.m. on Sunday and end at 11:59 p.m. the following Saturday.

  • Work Year The full-time work year for all employees employed in EA and ECE job classes shall be a minimum of 194 work days to correspond with the school year calendar.

  • Normal Work Week The normal work week shall be thirty-seven and one-half (37 1/2) hours, and the normal daily hours of work shall be seven and one-half (7 1/2) hours, exclusive of a meal period. The normal work week shall be Monday through Friday and the normal workday shall be scheduled between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

  • Work Period The normal work period shall consist of forty (40) hours of work within a seven (7) day period or eighty (80) hours of work within a fourteen (14) day period.

  • Work Day and Work Week The normal work day shall consist of up to 8 hours of work within a 24-hour period. The normal work week shall consist of up to 40 hours of work within a 7-day period. The Employer may define the work week on an individual, department, shift or facility basis in accordance with Federal and State law.

  • Construction Period During the construction period, Redeveloper agrees to keep the construction area, including completed operations insured against loss or damage by fire, and such other risks, casualties, and hazards as are customarily covered by builders’ risk or extended coverage policies in an amount not less than the replacement value but allowing for reasonable coinsurance clauses and deductibles. In the event of any insured damage or destruction, Redeveloper agrees to use its good faith efforts to commence restoration of the Private Improvements to its prior condition within nine (9) months from the date of the damage or destruction, and shall diligently pursue the same to completion.

  • Working Days Without prejudice to clause 9.1, where the Authority funds the delivery of this Contract using European Social Fund (ESF) funds or in its role as a Co-financing Organisation uses this contract as a match for ESF provision, either at the outset of the contract or at any point during the life of the contract, the Contractor and any Sub-contractors appointed by it shall be bound by the corresponding additional requirements detailed within relevant Contractor Guidance, including the maintaining of records until at least 31 December 2023.
