Absence for Other Reasons. When absent from duty for reasons not covered by this Agreement, but for reasons which are approved in advance by the Superintendent, the established rate of a substitute teacher shall be deducted from the employee’s base salary for a period not to exceed five (5) days in any school year, and thereafter the pro rata deduction will be made.
