Common use of Absence Paid by County Workers' Compensation Program Clause in Contracts

Absence Paid by County Workers' Compensation Program. An employee may utilize sick leave or vacation credit to augment benefits paid under the workers’ compensation program. When returned to work, the employee will be paid at the rate for the job to which the employee is assigned, which includes all merit and cost-of-living increases that normally would be granted during the time away from work as a result of the on-the-job injury. The county shall provide workers’ compensation insurance as required by state law. Employees who become eligible for workers’ compensation shall be provided all benefits and rights in accordance with workers’ compensation administrative rules and regulations, and nothing in this article is intended to diminish those benefits and rights.
